He looks like Willem Dafoe though :p

Kevin DOES look like Dafoe. I said impersonator. They're all over Youtube ;)

Though, as much as I LOVE Conroy's voice, I want an original Batvoice. Something like Ironside's TDKR voice. Something to make your skin crawl, but also can sound sympathetic and heroic when it has to be.

Yeah. Nothing is happening right away. We'll be chewing more and more rumors until they cast Batman.

Is Gosling actually remotely interested in the role himself or is this just WB hoping he'd be game? I thought he was personally against playing a super-hero role?
he never said that at all why do people keep thinking gosling hates super hero films lol

what ryan said is super hero films are tough and he is not sure if he is good enough to be able to act around all the green screen and feels more comfortable acting around what he can see but this was more about green lantern than anything

Goyer's still penning the script.

Nobody has an idea of who would nail the role yet.

It's just WB's wish list - Gosling and Brolin.

why are people under the impression we are getting another batman trilogy tdkr was just last year for god sakes:huh:

I heard somewhere they want to do a batman trilogy after JLA.
Anyway, the Batman who will play in MOS will also be in JLA, uh?

If that's the case, it's very important not to take someone too old!

Once they cast Batman the Lex Luthor casting rumors will begin.

That would make the most sense. I can't see a Batman trilogy with Batman-centric plot happening with all the Aliens and Demi Gods running around.

It will take place after JLA, in Gotham and it's gonna be personal. Just Batman (i mean Batman and his supporting cast, bat-family included).

Funny, now that we have a Bruce Wayne in the mix,
i dont really care who they cast as Lex

They could make a Batprequel trilogy.

But I doubt that'll happen.

It's ironic but I was much more concerned with the MOS casting process.

:awesome:

Yep, there is a such a thing as a youthful 40.

@regwec if Bomer is 5'11" then I am 6'7."

Hem... Just check when he's near someone whose height is shorter than 5'11.
But his partner, Tim Dekay, is very tall!
"He is 6' 2½" or 1m89 tall."

He is taller than Mozzie (5'7 or 5'8), than marsha thomason (whose height is 5'8). Both looks shorter than Matt Bomer.

they dont really need to cover an origin story right now.
If they go the older route,
Next step after JL is Batman Beyond .

It's not impossible. Especially if they use an older Batman in B/S and JLA. I can see them recasting/casting a younger actor for the Prequel trilogy or maybe jumping back and forth to present day and the past or present day, past and far future (aka Batman Beyond).

Or if they don't want to do a full story arc a 1 film per period would be neat if done properly. For example the 1st film with a beginner Batman, second film with very experienced Batman in his mid 40s and the last film late 50s/60s early 70s Batman Beyond style, all 3 interconnected with plot elements involving Terry or project Batman Beyond and Waller (maybe a subplot with Waller and the Government taking out each Robin fearing they will replace Batman instead of McGinnis). To me at least that last scenario is very interesting and i just thought of it....im so proud :P

I already suggested they do that a few months ago. Cast the older actor for the crossover films. Which would be like 2 or 3 movies. Then do a prequel trilogy with a younger actor, that way these "solo films" don't have to reference a shared universe since it's before Superman enters the picture. The director will have the freedom to do what he wants as long as he doesn't end the story completely. Which wont happen anyway because Nolan just did that.

Then they jump forward and do a Batman Beyond film. By the time this movie happens the "mid 40s" actor from BvS/JLA will be well into his 50s, maybe even close to 60. So you use him as the old man Bruce.

It's a win for everyone.

Rodrigo90, Rodrigo90, what have I ever done to make you treat me so disrespectfully? :P

You haven't contributed to my Jane thread which has just got over 1000 posts :p

Yeap, thats what i'm talking about. Flawless logic and a win scenario for everybody.

If he were so old, I don't think there would have a poster of Batman in MOS, saying "keep calm and call Batman". Because he would be too aged to fight.

But yeah, that would be a good idea.
Batman is too old, he needs superman to fight for him to solve a problem and that how they connect?
Or, as I would think according to what happened during the comic-con, they will take an old Bruce Wayne who will fight against Superman. "the guy who defeated you"...
I don't see Batman winning, of course, because it's a superman movie. Or he would loose at the beginning and he will win at the end...

I LOVE Batman Beyond!!
