YEAAAAH!!
Finally some people who recognize his chin is wonderful for Batman!!! :D

Supes and Batman are both strong. The chin is an important part of this strength.
Yeah, it's just a chin, but a man with this kind of chin always seems stronger!!

If Bale had the same, I would have liked him as Bruce. (but I love Bale whatever he does, so...)

And I don't think Bomer looks younger than Henry.
You must be looking the wrong pic.
Matt looks way older. Above all with his beard.

So we'll get the chin down and THEN we'll worry about acting and body.

From the way we've heard this Batman being described and characterized, I'd say Armitage would be good Imo. He's the right age, lesser known by general audiences, and could probably be accepted more as Batman because he isn't a well known . I'd be willing to bet people remember his character from the Hobbit but probably don't know who the guy is. That said, Brolin does have the chops and the range. He's got alot of charm while at the same time is believable as a badass. At the same time he isn't a stiff and wouldn't come off as a Bale clone.

I just can't see Joe M as Batman. I mean , I like the guy on True Blood , but I just can't see him as Batman.

Gosling I could see in the role but it seems to be he'd be much better as Lex or even the Joker.

Caviezal would also be great but he's got the show so I don't think he'll be able to do both.

I gotta say no to Bomer as well. I just don't see him as Batman. I guess I would agree that's he's more Clark than Bruce. I'd also want an actor who really is a contrast to Cavill look wise. They don't look like identical twins , but their looks are pretty similar imo. Yes, I know in the comic they're drawn alike , but in a film like this where they're suppose to be sharp contrasts between them I'd want even their features to look a lot different.

I'd want him to look similar, but different. Even if Bomer ACTS fine, he'd come across as a prettyboy outside the suit.

So I guess by that idea, it should be Wes ;)

:whatever:get your eyes checked their jaw lines and facial structure and not even close henry also looks like 6 years older lol

Henry does not look so old in the movie.
Anyway he is older than his age -_-"
I'm sure it's because he smokes!! (or smoked?)

Bomer is 35 and you don't see the good pics. Not the good angle and henry seems tired in that ones!!
It's not fair to take that ones where he looks so old.
Watch the movie, he does not look like a tired man like in your photo.

It's almost the same chin. When you morph them, you get a great chin.

But let's stop the comparison. Matt Bomer's chin is still great!

He also has some crazy eyes. And I really liked Keaton's "crazy eyes" under the mask.

Bruce Wayne is a pretty boy outside the suit.

He's rich and gorgeous, he attracts lots of women, he's a womanizer, he's the perfect boy. That's his mask, isn't it?

We cant have a Batman and Superman that look like twins:oldrazz:

I have heard that Mangianello feels that he didnt try hard enough to get the Superman role.
He may see this as a second chance and win or lose, he wants to give it his all.
Nothing wrong with that .
There are a lot of actors not on these lists who are going to try to be the next Batman.
Mangianello said he was depressed and justifiably so. This was a life changing opportunity that he couldn't get a proper shot at because of commitments.

But I think the dude is just waiting for a major action break through. I find is arc on True Blood very insubstantial.

Good point. I just wouldn't want a scene with Bruce and Clark together outside the suit and think to myself "they could have switched roles." :D

I hate to be the devil's advocate and I hate to bring to have to bring this up and I hate that this is even a thing but...

Bomer's [BLACKOUT]out.[/BLACKOUT] That is the main reason WB wouldn't have the balls to cast him. That will then become the entire thing this film becomes about, there will be headlines like [BLACKOUT]First Gay Batman[/BLACKOUT] and what not and I just don't think WB want that.

I think its unfortunate and any actor should have as a good a shot as any another but this is the way our society is.

Take a bat suit and insert Matt Bomer's chin. He will be perfect.
Don't forget whoever they choose, it's all we're gonna see when he will wear his costume.

So, I don't understand the whole "I don't see him as Batman".
Of course, because we can't see Batman.
The gangsters will only see a giant bat, a chin, and that's all.
We'll see the same. The costume itself is created with the shape of the muscles.
Even if his body was not in the good shape, it will look like he's muscled all the same. :whatever:

I brought up the same point a week ago. It's rather unfortunate but it's true.

WB probably wouldn't want that kind of heat on the film, despite the fact that it doesn't matter at all. Those aren't the kinds of headlines they'd want to draw, especially with such a sensitive and hot button issue in America.

I really like Bomer's look for BW and his Batman would be anyone's guess. And yeah, he does look a lot like Cavill. I think it'd be important to make sure Bruce Wayne look distinct for this movie.

So basically I like Bomer for the part, but unfortunately I don't think this is the movie for him.

Brolin for me still. He checks a lot of boxes and I think he could potentially be Frank Miller's Batman come to life. And right now even though he's only rumored, I'm getting that "this is so crazy and unexpected it might just work" vibe for him that I often get when these types of roles are cast. The same feelings I got when Heath Ledger and Anne Hathaway were announced.

I also would take some twisted pleasure in watching the inevitable backlash unfold about Brolin being too old. :o

While Bentley certainly has a good look for Bruce/Bats and appears to be a decent actor from what I've seen, the character will need to have a very commanding presence and a powerful voice. I'm not convinced about Bentley's ability to deliver in those areas, but you never know -- he could surprise us. He would also need to bulk up quite a bit.

He doesn't appear to be on WB's radar though. If he is, they're doing a damn good job of keeping it under wraps. That said, I'd be good with either Bentley, Brolin or Caviezel.

You know who really looks evil to me? Armitage!
