You could see any pic of an actor near Henry where he has the same posture and I'm sure you would say the same thing.

ARMITAGE is not handsome. I can't believe you put his name.
Have you seen his nose? He's not attractive at all!

AN ugly face near Henry?
No way!!
I know Henry is the main character. But how could he be possible that women prefer to be with Clark instead of Bruce Wayne?
We should feel Bruce is more attractive, a real ladies'man!

Waldau is virile too, don't forget children boy factor and young boy factor they like real male on the screen.

I don't know who you could look at someone and assume they're European...

Some people have a distinctive look. Some do not. For instance, you can look at certain Italians who embody physical characteristics that are commonly associated with that particular ethnic group. And then there are other Italians who can pass for anything from French to Welsh -- they just look like everybody; so you can't tell.

I like to clear up that I dislike Joe M as Batman way more than Bentley. That choice causes me to go into fits of rage.
I could see Joe M playing a certain kind of Batman well, but it wouldn't be the kind of Batman that I want to see. At all. I don't think he's nearly as bad an actor or as meathead-like as people say, either, though. I do agree Bentley would be a better choice than him. Just...not by much, lol.

Am I the only one who thinks that Jake Gyllenhaal is a really likely choice? He was Goyer's pick back in the Begins days. Plus, the fact that there haven't been any rumors pointing to him lately makes it seem like he'll be picked even more. Everyone will be expecting Brolin or Gosling and then one day Gyllenhaal will just be announced out of nowhere. I can see it happening.

In the end, I'm sure I'd be happy with whatever choice they make, it's not the casting I'm worried about.
Armitage is at the top of my list at the moment.

But all I can say is who I DON'T want to see in the role and that is Joe Manganiello. Ugh
Just NO. The months he was on the final run for Superman were the worst.

When they finally announced Henry I felt like throwing a party! :p

I think the abs are distracting you. :oldrazz:

The Manganiello hate annoys me, but I agree, he's not Batman. Just like he wasn't Superman.

Honestly, I'm really not that into him like that. I just don't think he's bad on TB at all, despite the TERRIBLE storylines they give him. He's had a couple of really good moments on that show, imo. Not this season, obviously, which has featured the worst writing for his character than ever before (and that's saying A LOT). But like I said, I don't think he's right for Batman...at least not the kind of Batman I want to see. But I don't think he's bad enough by a long shot to be the Hype's resident punching bag, either.

Glad to see the joe cant spell his last name correctly from true blood is getting no fan support for batman there is a geek God.

What! Jake Gyllenhaal he's 32 not Batman, like Gosling talented but not Batman.

God forbid Jake G.

he's not terrible. he's a pretty good actor, especially with darker roles. he's very much like gosling. there are a lot of good actors out there. looking at older actors isn't the best option.

joshua jackson(35)
jake gyllenhaal(32)
ryan gosling(32)
michael fassbender(36)- arguably the best option.
richard armitage(41) - more villainous, but i think he can pull it off if they go older.

Well, pretty much all the names mentioned just look like White dudes to me. Nothing distinctive to say they're from a certain part of the world.

I don't think Joe M is a bad actor guys, I liked him on True Blood. I just hate the idea of him as Batman because I think he is aggressively wrong for the role. I think he'd be a good Metallo or something just not Batman. I didn't even dislike him for Superman from what I can remember before Cavill was cast.

he's old money. he should look distinctly "european" I'm not sure what makes cavill or bale look more American quiet honestly. isn't he of scottish descent?

Yes, obviously most of us in the States descend from Europe; that's not what I'm saying. Some people just have a more distinctive look than others. There are certain individuals you can just look at and say, "Wow, that person looks really _________", and then there are others you just can't place. All you know is that they're white, but you can't really pinpoint if they're Irish, Polish, French, whatever. That's sort of how I see Bruce Wayne. He just looks white, but he doesn't have a very distinctive look regardless of what his background is supposed to be. Armitage, in my opinion, does though.

None of these choices look all that promising, tbh. Josh Brolin could be cool, but he's too old to carry out sequels/JL sequels/team-ups/etc. And not like RDJ/Hugh Jackman old. Oldboy, no doubt.

I really have a feeling that Jake Gyllenhaal would knock it out the park.

He's had some missteps along the way; but I think he's got some serious potential. I think you can look at Brothers, End of Watch, Love & Other Drugs, or Jarhead for a good mix he can bring to both Bruce Wayne & Batman. Plus, the Oscar nomination doesn't hurt.

End of Watch was a good review for Gyllenhaal and Prisoners doesn't look like it will disappoint either. I think Gyllenhaal is about to catch that wave again (he faltered after a few bombs, no doubt) and WB would be wise to snatch him up.

I'm trying to understand where you're coming from, but that doesn't make any sense to me with a character like bruce wayne.
