Matt does nothing for me...sure he gets ladies, but I do not see grizzled crimefighter.

But are you even sure he will have to be in MOS 2?

That sounds weird to me. I think they would have asked for a 50 years-old man in that case.

I can't believe you still haven't taken that gif down...

Who cares? Let him dig his own grave, it doesn't bother me any, and if he gets banned maybe he'll stop spamming with Bomer gifs that prove how wrong he is for Batman

I think it's gonna be Brolin too

With the past two weeks after this announcement and the weekend of the short list of possibilities, which are all still a rumor, you're really that confident?

Yep, I've pretty much been doing that with all the Caveizel, Brolin, Bentley AND Armitage talk, lol.

You know, a few months ago, I thought Caveizel would make a good Batman... but now, I'm not so sure. It's just NONE of these suggestions excite me.

I don't have one choice. I have several. But of the "older" options, I like Jon Hamm, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Karl Urban.

Generally speaking though, Michael Fassbender is probably tops for me. Other franchises be damned, lol.

There are others I like for the "unknown" options, but I don't think they want anything less than an established name, so that category seems to be moot for the moment.

Except those. As well as Gosling.

It's a good thing this is all so early though. If this were late in the game, I'd be worried. Very worried.

But... which one are you talking about???

It really isn't that hard to figure out is it? I guess I gotta spell it out for you: The page before this at the top. Delete it.

I don't care how untested he is as a lead, I kind of dig the Max Martini option.

The one that baffles me the is Gyllenhall.
I just dont see Bruce Wayne in him at all..

idk, I just see Gyllenhaal doing something with it. He's not a conventional choice, but I think he's got the talent to deliver a fresh take.

The rumored list just seems very bland right now. I think it needs a little x factor in it; mix things up

Even though I love me some Matt Bomer, it's his eyes and ya know his dance scene from Magic Mike :fhm:, I believe he can pull off playboy Bruce and maybe brooding Bruce, but Batman is still unknown. I don't think anyone is willing to take a chance with him, yet.

Remember people this is like casting two romantic leads in a romcom, they have to have chemistry and look good together... in more ways than one. ;) :p

I'm not going to lie my heart will always belong to Michael (Fassbender) for Batman. He ticks many good boxes for me, and I know he along with Elba and Cumberbatch are THE go-to's for any fancasting thread.

he really does

acting chops
good looking
deep voice
square jaw and strong mature facial structure
only 6 years older than henry
can do play boy bruce and menacing batman

I think Batman and Superman should look to be the same age (regardless of the actors' actual ages). I don't like this older Batman route.

Early 30's is the way to go. As they've been saying in the interviews, Superman's intro should really kickstart this universe, so all the heroes should be the same age. (though I think it'd be cool if its revealed that Batman was working in the shadows a few months earlier than Superman...it seems odd Bruce would only don the cape only after he sees Superman on TV)

Which why he'd make a very believable Wayne within the context of the story.

NOTICE: I'm not pro-Bomer. From what I've seen of him, I don't think he does dark emotions as organically as a happy-go-lucky persona.

bomer just doesn't feel like batman imo batman needs those intense eyes

I don't get the grizzled veteran stuff.
Batman could have lot of experience and be in his thirties. Ok, let's say 35-40.
But a too much old man, that's not good.

Against Cavill, I will think he seems too weak. And Batman is already a human, so...

Look Johnny Depp made a tone of money but do you see him as Batman it's the same thing with Bomer, Goslin, Jake and all those guys they simply not Batman. However i'll go to theater for the next pirate but those actor are not Batman to be Batman you need something else nearly mystic, a mix of intellect and masculinism not to be confuse with masculinity masculunism is something different.

I'm sorry, but Matt has got that.
Some can be sceptikal about the masculinism, but I think it's more due to the fact he's gay and everybody knows it.

Just watch Neal Caffrey: mystic, elegant, intelligent, verryyy intelligent.

This. Without a nice, deep voice and intimidating eyes, it'd be hard to buy the idea of Batman.

Also, since Bomer looks a little over thirty, even though he's almost in his late thirties, he'd look downright young in comparison to Cavill, whose face is a bit more rugged.

As much as I like Bomer on White Collar, I don't think he could pull off the darkness and intensity both Wayne and Batman requires. He's got the playboy thing down, but Bruce is so much more than that.

The thing with both these roles is that Wayne and Batman are two different characters. Each are unrecognizable from the other, yet at the same time, you still care about both of them. And that actor has to play both. They are two, and yet they are one if that makes any sense. See Keaton and Bale, which is why they have been the most popular.

That's why I always hated Armie Hammer's suggestion. He would just play Armie Hammer as Bruce Wayne and Armie Hammer in the Batman costume.

From the short list of 6, I think Matthew Goode will be an excellent Bruce Wayne and Batman.

He's not a name I would've thought of right away, sort of like from out of left field like Heath Ledger was. But he's worked with Zack Snyder and Amy Adams. He is 6'2, 35 years old, 5 years older than Henry Cavill, and is British like Cavill too which means he just has to get the American accent down.

Mathew Goode as Bruce Wayne, rich playboy.

Bruce Wayne and Lois Lane (not yet, but potentially)

As Batman he might look something close to his Ozymandias role but use your imagination for the cowl, he's got a good look and voice.

He just has to work out a lot to get in Batman shape. If he's cast, I know he'll go through a "Spartan" or "Man of Steel" style training program for a Zack Snyder movie especially.

The most terrifying in Batman to me is the costume.
Yeah, there are the eyes. But you can't clearly see them.
If these eyes could be blue, it would be so beautiful to see!!
That ones of Henry for example.

Matt Bomer has blue eyes, they are piercing. It would be AWE-SOME! :yay:
