Cavill lost the role to Routh in 2004 or 2005 and Amy Adams lost out to Kate Bosworth for a role in the same film. If you are a professional you move on eventually.

Remember that James Franco also lost the Peter Parker role to Tobey Maguire and then he was cast as Harry Osborne. Also, Cillian Murphy lost the Bruce Wayne role to Christian Bale.

That's how I see it for Joe Manganiello if he does get to be Batman and he would still star with Henry Cavill whom he lost the Superman role to.

I guess not, they just took the runner up role as a the bad guy, and made a name for themselves that way instead of as the main hero. I mean James Franco and Cillian Murphy.

He could incorporate that into his character, though. I'm sure a part of Batman is envious of Clark's inherent goodness.

I'm not pro-Joe or anti-Joe. But I'm not sure he'll have the charisma to carry the image of Bruce, though he might be an intimidating Batman.

Actors don't always get the role they audition for, sometimes they get another role in the same film.

If the video was from a year ago I'll just assume that Joe got over losing the role. He's not going to be Batman either even if he does want the role. I think Joe would have been fine as Superman but Superman and Batman are two different characters of course.

Cillian Murphy auditioned for Batman and was cast as Scarecrow instead. That was a brilliant decision. Perhaps Joe will stumble upon the perfect role at some point.

Joe's is the third or forth guy on a sexy Vampire show, of course he wouldn't turn down a big role.

Of course this convo is moot because Warners has never cast an actor in the position Joe is in as Batman. Clooney was a T.V guy but he was respected and way more popular than Joe. If anything Skarsgard is the Clooney of True Blood and even he is nowhere near as popular as Clooney was and True Blood is no ER.
