I wish Warners and Snyder would choose someone already and tell us who it is so that I can whine about the choice for months, then get use to the actor then get convinced once I see him in costume and during the trailer.

Sadly, we probably won't know for a few more months. So a few more months of Adkins championing. :awesome:

LOL, this!

I like Armitage OK. He might work. Definitely no on Bentley. I always see him as a weak actor. Not so much his abilities, but all of the characters I have seen him portray always seem to have some kind of inherent weakness in them, that I think comes from him. He wouldn't work as Bruce/Batman, IMO.

Actors draw on what they know, but most of it is what the director wants. Not the actor. The Actor is a translator. I think it's unfair to type cast an actor not because of how well he acts, but rather on the characters he has played.

Lol

Armitage seems to be aging pretty well so far. I worry less about him than some of the other suggested actors in their forties.

This is Josh Brolin at 35. Just imagine him three movies later today now.

This is Armitage this YEAR:

So, I guess the moral is don't drink too much, or something to that affect.

Here's another suggestion:

Misha Collins (38 years old, 5'11)

He's not anyone's top pick, but he is on a WB show. He plays the angel Castiel on Supernatural. I think he can look like Bruce Wayne and has a great voice for Batman. I think he would be better than the other guy on Supernatural who's been suggested (Jensen Ackles)

Here's a youtube video of his character's introduction on Supernatural. He can definitely do a dark character, and his voice perfect.

Don't be dissin the Dorff. I loved him in Blade and I think he is hot in druggy sorta way. He's all wrong for Batman though.

Wes Bentley is not Nolan's recommendation. That's just a rumour created by CosmicBookNews.

Good choice, though.

We don't know that.

CosmicBookNews isn't always wrong in their scoops.

At least they've been right more times than Comic Book Movie has been, even half the time, when they claim to have an exclusive scoop from their "sources".

I'm 100% behind Wes Bentley at this point.

And honestly, considering that Bentley is in fact in Nolan's "Interstellar" (in a significant suppporting role no less), and Nolan's known penchant for collaborating with actors repeatedly (Pretty much everyone who has appeared in the TDK trilogy), I don't doubt the report that Nolan suggested him for the role.

And like I said, Bentley is a great actor and definitely had what it takes to pull off Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Yea, that's what I'm saying. It's not the characters, it's something in him. I've seen him play different characters, yet there's something in all of them that I think comes from him, that makes me think of weakness. I just don't think he could pull off a strong character like Bruce Wayne/Batman.

You are sure that Nolan suggested him? It's awesome that you are but I'm not sure of anything and that website has a dismal record. I will wait and see and you believe every real or imagined rumor.

We don't even have comformation that Nolan isn't a producer in name only on MOS2 or Supeman/Batman and to ignore that fact is silly. If he is, he won't care who they get for the role. I don't know why you don't think Topher Grace has a shot as well, I mean he is also in Interstellar.

It's odd that you think, without any proof, that Nolan is casting this sequel or team up film. I deal in facts not fanboy wishes and hopes so that type of fanboy mania is so damn odd to me.

All that said, that does not mean that I don't believe that any actor with an empty schedule could land the role. Obviously they could, obviously Bentley could because he is an actor.

I'm still all for Hamm, but that gif of Armitage's eyes convinced me. I already thought he was a good actor, and he looks like Bruce, but his nose bothered me. I'm past it though and would be happy if he's cast. We could do a lot worse
