To dismiss Gosling as just another "pretty boy" would be ignorant, IMO. The dude has serious chops and has demonstrated his ability in several roles like 'Drive' and 'The Place Beyond the Pines'. If you haven't seen the latter, I highly recommend it. He portrays a character with a shady past wrestling with inner turmoil. If he were to bulk up and get. New hairstyle, I'd be interested in seeing how he could pull of the role of Bruce/Batman. He'd certainly be a better choice than Bomer. I'm confident he could bring the intensity necessary for this role.
I'm not by any means advocating him for this part, but I'm simply open to it. At this point, I'm not really campaigning for any actor in particular. I have faith that Snyder and his team will find someone fitting for the role. I think it's silly to campaign or "choose" an actor without knowing what Snyder's vision will be. Bale was a great choice that was far from obvious at the time so I'm hoping something similar happens this time around. "Outside the box" is my credo for Batman casting. Picking an actor based soley on his looks and build is quite silly, if you ask me.
