Batman Forever

Batman was the perfect Batman movie & I don't care what anyone says. It had the perfect blend of darkness, comedy, etc. It also had a lot of good action & in the first movie I'd say that Michael Keaton was great as Bruce Wayne/Batman but in BR it seemed like he slacked off & got a little worse in the role. However, Val Kilmer was the best Bruce Wayne from the entire franchise, it's too bad that he didn't return for B&R.

Batman is good but I wouldn't call any Bat film perfect. I just think it was the script in BR and much less Keaton's performance that can be attributed with the lack of depth in Batman/Bruce in BR.

Actually it is because that movie and script would have tarnished his good performance in Forever. You could have put any Joe smoe as Batman in B&R, the script, plot, the entire way they made the movie is what ruined it.

Thank you.

Btw, anyone think the franchise would've went on longer if they had kept Val Kilmer as Batman? Why was he recast anyway?

Various reasons;

- He fell out with Schumacher
- Warner Bros. were considering rushing a sequel for 1996
- He wanted Robert Towne to write the script
- He didn't like the title change from Batman Triumphant to Batman & Robin
- Al Pacino and Robert De Niro mocked him on the set of Heat for playing Batman
- He thought The Saint would be a similar franchise but without the need for a cumbersome costume

Those were some pretty good reasons because it's pretty dumb to rush any movie & to change the name from something good to something bad. And screw Al Pacino & Robert De Niro for mocking him, that's not cool.

I thought that Bale's Waynme was only acting like a rich snob to further throw people off. When he bought the hotel, I could see him as being an arrogant *****ebag but when he told everyone to get the hell out of his house, I think he was doing that to protect them & probably to further throw them off of his secret but he still could've went about a better way of doing it. As of now, BF is my second favorite movie of the franchise but Batman (1989) will always remain as my favorite of the entire franchise because of the Joker & because of how well they portrayed both Batman's & the Joker's origins. As for Batman Returns & Batman & Robin, I don't really care for those two movies like I care for Batman (1989) & Batman Forever. I absolutely detest Danny Devito's Penguin & while Catwoman was very interesting to see, the performance could've been better. I actually prefer Halle Berry's performance even though that movie was pretty damn bad.

:funny:
lamest post EVER! you actually liked halle berry over michelle? wow....i dont know what to say, but i cant take this guy seriously anymore. yet another balehead.

...Balehead? He said he likes B'89 a lot, and said he liked Berry better than Pfeiffer. Berry has nothing to do with the movie's involving Bale.

Balehead? I don't remeber Halle's Catwoman being in BB. Where the hell do you come up with Balehead on someone who wasn't talking about him prefering Bale over Keaton? Seriously, you tend to overreact & make lame jokes like that. Nice to see it still you BatmanRules33/Batwing6655/Dr. Satan & brownish33 from IMDB. :oldrazz:

He just don't know how to read. Or he just skip reading the lines.

Beside, he's a hardcore Burtonite. :funny: :hehe:

There are these things called opinions, and everyone has them. You're acting like he killed your own freaking mother, when all he did was say he disliked a movie that you happen to enjoy.

Thank you, Swordmaster. You are a wise one.

GoogleMe94... we aren't suggesting that you're required to accept/agree with the opinions of others that you feel strongly against. But these are public boards. You DO have to tolerate other's views. Otherwise (whether you deliberately do or not), you will labelled a troll. And with good reason.

I think in general you do try to be reasonable. But don't throw it all away because someone likes Halle Berry. In case you haven't noticed, she IS a nice piece of ass. ;)

Besides being a nice peice of ass, she's a good actress as well which is why if she were in an actual movie with Batman with Nolan directing & with a real script, she'd be loads better than Michelle.

Btw, due to her being pregnant her boobs have gotten bigger. :hoboj:

Nice! I watched some of a biography on her yesterday. Did you see her in The Flinstones? :)

No, I never knew she was in the Flinstones but anytime I can watch her I do. She looks that damn good.

Cool, I'll definitely watch it. Btw, even though Halle Berry is a great actress, the only reason I watched Catwoman more than once was to see her in that costume.

Yep... But, come on, I really liked The Flinstones. I think it's a good adaptation of the cartoon, Viva Rock Vegas sucks though.

I'll probably try to catch it on TV or watch it on the internet, only to see Halle work her magic though.

I really had no idea of those reasons but thanks for posting them, I always wanted to know more of his departure other than his fall out with Schumacher and schedule conflicts with The Saint. Although I remember Val stating that he believed WB rushed B&R and that he was attached to do The Saint without knowing that (probably thinking Batman 4 was to come out on 1998). To me it seems that he had some interest in reprising the role, but not even his Batman voice and his lack of head bobbling would've saved B&R.

I always figured it was just because of the friction with him, O'Donnell and Schumacher.

Not because Al and Bobby bullied him lol...
