Spider-Man 3 is a much better film than B&R though. I really liked SM3, and didn't like B&R.

Well, SM3 was "cooler", had better special effects, and wasn't quite as silly as B&R. However, they both suffer from a lot of same problems. For instance, cramming way too much **** into the story, and really bad dialogue.

Venom overrated??Highly disagree, Venom is what he is a natural bad to the bone supervillian and thats what he did best. I think the movie would of done better if they would of cut the emo time and put Venom in more...
well...I do think Venom is overrated. but even so...doesn't mean he would be bad in a movie if done properly.
I'm sure he would give us good plots.

You wanna see a movie with WAY too much going on? Watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Spider-Man 3 doesn't come close to that tangled pile of plot. I love both movies.

I've seen...and liked. Venom can work if done properly.
let's get back on topic.

I like the BF Batmobile. It may not be the iconic 89/92 Burton version, but I thought it looked cool in its own right and felt bad when it blew up (being 11 years old when I first saw the film). I even had a model of it for a while (until my younger brother stepped on it).

Yeah, that movie sucks, too.

that car is freakin awsome, dont care what anyone says. and when was the last picture taken?

The Batforums are starting to fill again with those who state their opinion like it was textbook fact.

It's both cute and sad.

Are you referring to me? Don't be a *****e.

Just because I said POTC3 sucks doesn't mean I'm stating it as a fact, so you don't have to get your panties in a bunch. I didn't think I had to say "I personally dislike At World End very much, but I understand how others may perceive it to be a wonderful film experience." :whatever:

i love all 3 POTC, but i only like all 3 spiderman films.

Get your head out of your ass, theshape. Your posts are arrogantly worded exactly like I said (and yes, I AM referring to you amongst others).

Yes, Master. I apologize for criticizing POTC: At World's End. I will give the film another viewing and it will hopefully change my opinion. On top of that, I will refrain from making "arrogantly worded posts" and will agree with everyone else's opinion's on this board, including yours. I realize that when I disagree and state my opinion, I sound arrogant, and that is wrong. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. It will not happen again.

:whatever:

Do you not get it?

In your effort to avoid being a *****, you took the other extreme, which makes you into the *****e. :cwink:

You got it, dude.

Listen, in the future, don't call me out for a stupid reason. If I was being a real ******* and spamming, I could understand you trying to make fun of me. But why call me out when all I did was point out a major problem with SM3 and say that POTC3 sucks? Seriously, who are you to do that?

No, you evidently didn't get it.

Remember this, kids: With great arrogance comes great thickness.

i love all 3 POTC, but i only like all 3 spiderman films.

I love all 3 Spider-Man films. i only like the first POTC, IMHO the other two don't exist, kind of like Ninja Turtles 3, RoboCop 3, and Batman & Robin, it's best if we forget about them...too painful.

I find Spiderman 3 better (more like 'less bad...') than B&R but when we're talking about THAT level of quality who really cares.

The Bernard the butler confession scene is comparable to the digital Alfred telling Alicia Silverstone he made a bat-suit for her (when he asked her precisely not to open the disc). Awful. Both.

The Bat-credit card scene and all of its ridiculousness and crappy humour is perfectly comparable to portraying Peter's dark side as a street Travolta imitator and talking to your teacher while asking for milk and cookies. Good thing about the bat-credit card gag is that even when it was painful, it was quick. Dark Peter's scenes on the other hand...

Jim as the Riddler was hilarious to me in this.

"That thing is never gonna heal if you keep scratching at" lol

For some reason it always reminded me of a giant leather BDSM cage. But it was a ****ing awesome leather BDSM cage

Seriously let get back to the topic, if you guys wanna chat SM3 go to the SPiderman forums, its too big of an argument to ruin our BF thread. I apologize for even stating my opinion on SM3 on here, so I will cease any talk about it. Like I said before its pretty much 50/50 on people loving or hating that film and it has no place in a batman forum.

Well, SM3 was "cooler", had better special effects, and wasn't quite as silly as B&R.
Not to mention better directing, writing and storytelling...
However, they both suffer from a lot of same problems. For instance, cramming way too much **** into the story, and really bad dialogue.
How is the dialogue in SM3 as bad as things like "You're not sending me to the coolah!"?

That makes the Bernard scene better.

Because, Bernard never knew that Harry would become the New Goblin. They never showed any indication of that.

Where as in B&R, Alfred said he knew that Barbara would find the Batcave without giving any prior indication.

Thus, Bernard scene > Alfred scene.

Not really.

Peter's strutting = Typical Raimi cornball humour...like the "Raindrops keep falling on my head scene" from SM2...and it actually serves a purpose in the movie.

Bat-credit card = Total WTF moment that adds nothing to the movie.

Agreed. I'm not necessarily saying that Spider-man 3 is worse than B&R, but they suffer from the same problems. They were both pretty much messes and downgrades from the previous films in each series.

Not to mention better directing, writing and storytelling...[/COLOR]

How is the dialogue in SM3 as bad as things like "You're not sending me to the coolah!"?

Brock’s calm “Btw, i’m dating your daughter” while Gwen is about to die. And her father actually reacts to the joke!!!

Ditkovich “If it's a woman you're calling, you say – ‘You're good woman, I'm good man!’”

Spiderman’s “Shazam” which was already nausea-worthy on the first movie.

Venom “Nah... I like being bad. It makes me... happy...”

"Wicked cool" and every line said by a kid or TV news people.

Less terrible than Feeze’s puns? Probably, but quite awful. Same league. Comparable.

That makes the Bernard scene better.

Because, Bernard never knew that Harry would become the New Goblin. They never showed any indication of that.

So? Did Bernard need any indication of that to tell the poor kid how his afther was killed? Not to mention the police. Not to mention how is Bernard specialist in Green Goblins’ glider cuts? If that’s a possible thing to be. And if it is, shouldn’t be Harry more expert at the matter?

Bernard waited years to tell Harry the truith, and for no reason. Suddenly he told him, just in time for he to help Spiderman.

Again, a case of “less terrible.”

Where as in B&R, Alfred said he knew that Barbara would find the Batcave without giving any prior indication.

Not only that. If he had ready a Bat-suit for Barbara, why not telling her immediatelly instead of telling her not to look the disc? Did he prepare the special bat-suit only just in case?

Thus, Bernard scene > Alfred scene.

I guess 2 plates of crap is better than 3?

Not really.

Peter's strutting = Typical Raimi cornball humour...like the "Raindrops keep falling on my head scene" from SM2...and it actually serves a purpose in the movie.

Other than the nausea provoking and ruining the movie, what purpose it has (that wasn’t established in a far better way in other scenes?

Bat-credit card = Total WTF moment that adds nothing to the movie.

Erm... typical Schumacher’s crappy humour?

Not to mention better directing, writing and storytelling...

Everything in your post represents your opinion. When I look at SM3, it appears Raimi lost his sense of storytelling that he had for SM2. The direction was uninspired and unsuccessful, which goes along with the writing. The same can be said for B&R.

How is the dialogue in SM3 as bad as things like "You're not sending me to the coolah!"?

Venom: It... just doesn't seem right to me! Look, you want to kill the Spider, I want to kill the Spider. Together, he doesn't stand a chance! Interested?
Sandman: ...Yeah.
---
Venom: I like being bad...it makes me....happy!
---

Basically, anything Sandman said was pretty bad, along with a lot of Peter's dialogue.

They're both ridiculous scenes, no reason to try to justify one more than the other.

Not really.

Peter's strutting = Typical Raimi cornball humour...like the "Raindrops keep falling on my head scene" from SM2...and it actually serves a purpose in the movie.

Bat-credit card = Total WTF moment that adds nothing to the movie.

Peter dancing instead of being bad turned the movie into a joke, just as the credit card pushed B&R over the edge.
