I only own the first two SE DVDs; I never intend to own BF/B&R.

WOW you guys still beg your parents for stuff jeesh I wish I had that luxury, everything I have I got for myself.

That's great, but i'm currently at Uni which is ridiculously expensive, I spent a year last year working in a school in Uganda rather than working for money, so my parents can afford to be lenient.

Plus, I want my PS3 dammit!

Well I never had the luxury of my parents paying for any of those things especially college, so thats what I meant, it must be nice to have parents that are financially stable enough to go, here son though I pay for everything else for you, you can just have this $600 PS3 just cause we love you.

Reminds me of a kid at the toy store, I want that toy mommy arrghhh damnit lol.

Same here I grew up in the ghetto still live here in a single parent household at that so I never had the luxury of my parents really buying anything once I was no longer 8 years old. Especially since my dad lives in another state. Neither of my parents have really bought me anything past say $100 since I was like 16. I always have to work for mine & buy stuff with my own check. I'm finally copping a PS3 sometime this fall same with the XBOX 360 when I get my new job. I'm 24 now and am just going to start college this year finally since now it won't be a financial burden for me. You guys are very lucky if you could just ask your parents for a PS3 and they'll comply.

Dude im 24 too, and Im glad im not the only one like this on here, Cain I feel you 100% man!! Ive spent thousands of my own cash on my Batman collection and im proud of it, it all came from hard work and dedication.

I'm still building up my collection, I have all five Batman movies from Batman (1989) to Batman Begins & I have Batman Beyond: ROTJ. I still want to get more animated Batman movies & episodes but I can't seem to find them anywhere but I'll keep looking.

You can usually find them all at Wal-Mart, atleast the BTAS box sets.

Word I remember when I was a kid I had a $2 a day allowance and used to blow it on comics everyday after school. That's where the majority of my collection came from especially a lot of Legends, Tec' and Batman issues more so than Shadow. I still have a select few but sold the majority of my collection when I was still a teen cause I needed loot which I did use on Batman memorabilia amongst other things. I went from like 300 Batman comics to about 200 cause I sold things like "A Lonely Place of Dying" (my first set of comics) and the entire "Knightfall" saga during EBAY's early days. Also sold off a tremendous bulk of my Marvel stuff (Hulk, IM, Spidey and DD mostly) and my DC stuff (Mike Grell's GA, Waid's Flash, Byrne and Jurgens Supes) was also gone. I had to hustle to improve my Batman collection beyond comics and really get it upt o par and I take a lot of pride in that.

It's odd that people feel the need to justify liking Batman Forever, or back up with qualifying statements like, "I prefer Nolan and Burton of course...."

Very true it's like they can't accept it as it's own entity that goes for every Batman movie though. People always feel the need to compare because they feel it will validate their favorite or something. BF is a tremendously entertaining film and I rewatch it quite frequently throughout the years it's grown on me more and more. It's funny cause I haven't seen BB since sometime last summer I really don't revisit it as I'm never urged too. I know I just did what I commented on earlier in the post :woot: however I felt it's important to state how that always makes people make this face :wow: cause at the end of the day you should like what you like without always feeling the need to defend it. That ruins the purpose of enjoying movies IMO.

Thats why I like ALL Batman, I dont like to prefer one interpretation over the other.

That one statement is proof of what a child you are yourself.

I'm 21, I live in a country where by the time I finish University I will be minimum $40,000 in debt. Minimum. I work damn hard for my life, and yes I do count myself extremely fortunate that my parents can afford to buy me presents like that, but don't try and make it look like i'm a bad person because of it.

I respect that you yourself, and other people live in households less fortunate than mine, but don't ever make me out to be a bad person because of it.

Never said you were a bad person, you and I usually get along, it wasnt directed mainly towards you!! :)

Well I guess we should just leave it... Back to topic...

I'm only about 15-20 minutes in now and it is already hard to carry on watching. I know I'm not making any groundbreaking revelations about the film, and am pretty much saying the same as a lot of people, but I had forgotten how hard this film is to watch for me until now.
I would be one of the few to argue that Batman Forever is more unbearable to watch than Batman and Robin. True, Forever is easily the better film, but its the fact that it manages to so narrowly miss the "so bad its funny" mark that puts it straight in the gutter. Batman and Robin is a pretty decent way to pass time if you and your friends want to MST3K it up.
I completely agree with these two.

Two-Face's speech in the beginning was so good then soon as he started to laugh like the Joker and kept flipping the coin more than once.

Two-Faces lines were all bad in BF, I cant remember one that was good except, "Why wont you just die".

Two-Face's opening lines were pretty good I thought.

I'm 24 as well (25 in December), I graduated college but have been living in a rut for almost 2 years now. Only now do I realize the mistakes I made, and now I must find a way to rectify them before it's too late and I end up like Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons...

So, how about that shot of Batman emerging from the fire looking royally pissed? Cool shot, without a doubt.
