i hope as we are winding down the 'look' of things, which tends to be the more trivial aspect of Comic Book films that fans appear to hold at the highest value of a production, we can focus on some of the story, which I think should be held at about the highest priority (and acting).

Yup, the visual debates are getting pretty tiresome, I barely care at all compared with the writing, which will make or break the film for me. Especially as I thought Begins was dire in that regard

Much to (what must be) the surprise of many people here, I love the new pics.

I have reservations, sure. The one thing I can't deal with... the mask is too tight on Bale, or something. Like the BB mask, it's going to squeeze his face all funny, and it is nit he picture.

The minor complaints: the TDK suit is ugly. It's too damn "busy" and robotic. Even the BB suit (which I thought was too robotic then) is prefurrable to this. I mean, if you're gonna go with a machine.armor look, make it simple like the BR suit, please. But really, it should just be B89-style body armor. But, this complaint means nothing in terms of the film's quality, and the suit is hardly going to be visible in the shadows, but still.

Again, I like my Joker to be well-groomed and prissy. But aside from that, (and aside from it probably being makeup), Ledger looks kick ass. To quote Nicholson's Joker: "I like him already!"

And, while I'm at it, this was bloody hilarious...

Yeah promo picks are lame usually. Too goofy looking with the direct lighting and blank background.

The bat suit especially looks a little too busy in that light. The Joker's costume looks good though, like the shiny red lining on the underside of the jacket. He also seems to hunch a lot in these new pics. Interesting body language we'll probably see in the film.
