Batman OYL discussion thread

Morrison's run is only 4 issues? Or is he doing more after Batman & Son?

I'm pretty sure he's doing more. I hope so, anyway.

Cant say im too excited about Morrison on Batman but I guess the first issue will let me know whats up. But damn Detective Comics is in my top 5. Looks like JH Williams doesnt stick around long.
Not really all that surprising considering he's been doing Robin while doing Detective. Rarely can an artist pull off two titles a month.

Eh, I prefer his art on Robin, anyway.

So, Dini's writing both Detective and Batman at the same time, after Morrison leaves?

From DCcomics.com

BATMAN #658

Written by Paul Dini; Art by Don Kramer and Wayne Faucher; Cover by Simone Bianchi

One of the Dark Knight's most ruthless foes returns to Gotham City ready to resume business and settle old scores in "Night of the Penguin," written by Paul Dini with art by Don Kramer (JSA) and Wayne Faucher (IMPULSE)! Both Batman and Bruce Wayne find themselves at odds with the dirty bird as Penguin feathers a new nest with lies, deceit and murder.

That's a mis...print ( ). That's really Tec's solicit.

It will be interesting to see who replaces Morrison. I'm hoping he stays on a bit longer. 4 months is just too short to have a talent like him on-board.

fer sher. i hope they get quality talent to replace his bald-ass.

They could go with another bald-ass comic writer...

...there's two artists named Williams who have IIs in their name?

Ugh. :down

Freddie's better anyway. :o

Hmm. I just compared side by side.

J.H.'s use of color is really fantastic. His panelling's also very innovated compared to most. It's also rather gritty.

Freddie's is smoother, more cartoonish. Which, admittedly, I generally prefer.

Yeha, I dont think JH does his own coloring but yeah, the reds in the issue were vibrant. Though, his Bruce could use some work.

It's like totally uncool to give colorists any credit. :o

For some reason, I'm very rarely happy with artists' interpretation of Batman. I haven't a clue why.

Youre not one of those yellow oval lovers are you?

Don't we burn those freaks like witches?

Just noticed the All Star descritpion, I knew the Canary thing in #3 wasn't totally pointless.

Yeah, we got at least 15 pages of TNA.
