Batman R.I.P.

The best thing was Batman operating out of crime alley right in the theatre where he saw the mark of zorro with his parents in. This retcon zur-en-arrh Batman = the Batman from that Darren Aronofsky and Frank Miller script.
wait so is Zur-en-Arrh significant continuity-wise?

Yes in the sense that it was all a hallucination caused by an encounter with Professor Milo not in the sense that it actually existed.

So even the new batman suit is hallucination and hes running with a normal suit or half naked even?! :P Or are you just saying Bat-Mite is hallucination? :o

No the new suit is indeed real, hes running around in purple, red, and yellow. The original story where he "met" Z-Bats was an illusion. And Bat-Mite is a sort of split persona.

So where/how does he get this suit then? Is this a plot hole or? :P

Probably just made it himself from stuff he found on the street

After all his "Bat-Radia" is just a broken radio

Okay thanks for answering all these questions, sure they werent the best but very appriated! :)

It seems like, oddly enough, that Bat-Mite is the last remnants of Bruce Wayne...he seems to be the sane one with all the answers.

Oh...and I LOVE how the Joker looks in this story. Positively creepy.

if i'm reading your question correctly the only book dealing with the actual RIP story is Batman. as far as i know all the others tie in to it as being effected by the event but not telling the story. of course i haven't read Nightwing or Robin yet so i can be completely wrong. :woot:
You're not wrong...I'm having a tough time connecting those plots to the RIP story.

I'm having a tough time connecting the plots of this storyline....period. Hell, Morrisons books are pretty hard to follow. I'm enjoying the tie ins from Detective, Robin, and Nightwing more than the storyline in Batman. In fact, Morrisons whole run on the book has been ****.

I was having a real problem following the story but this last issue really impressed me. I'm excited for the rest of it.

I doubt Black glove is who he thinks he is unless theres some spiderman esque stuff behind the scene. I think Batman rip will probably make a lot more sense once its over.

Yeah probably his worst run on ANYTHING. The new issue is great so if Morrison wants to redeem himself, the next two issues better be ******* epic.

I've been lurking a few boards, and a lot of people feel this plotline is going to be utter crap... I dunno, it seems like there is a lot of stuff going on that will make sense once the pieces to the puzzle are unlocked.

It's been implied that he's the personification of Batman's might. I seriously don't get people who have a hard time following this story.

how so..I kind of do not see similarities. If it was ASBR then yeah totally

i don't understand why everyone's so confused, i love this story! its pretty easy to follow, ppl should stop hurting their brains by trying to hammer out what's coming next, i think we'll all find out when the next 2 books come out.

Me neither--it's wierd, and Morrison has been keeping things in the dark for a while, but it's not overtly complicated.

In the Arronofsky/Miller script, Bruce Wayne started out as a poor mechanic, who used bits and pieces to create his first batsuit. Zurr-En-Arrh Batman is basically in the gutter of the city, making his suit out of bits and pieces.

I'm kind of agreeing with you here, though it might be because I am a newcomer to this series. I've been finding this last arc painful to follow even after re-reading the issues. I keep thinking I am missing something... I am liking the Hush stuff going on in Detective.....

Club of Hereos yes, Club of Villains, no. At least not all of them.
