God bless the people who make this stuff...

Well IM was boosted up to 400% and Thor wasn't going all out. He was clearly stronger though. Tanking repulsor blasts to the face from point blank range. Getting slammed into a cliff face at 500mph without a scratch etc.

The stupid part of that scene was when Cap turned up.

I was really hoping that Thor n IM would have used that in the final battle.

Captain America- the superhuman?

I'm well and truly on Batman's side, even if he gets his ass handed to him. He's the underdog, and I love one of those. I also admire problem solving and overcoming impossible odds. And I respect how he has to train to become what he is.

Superman would never fight a human being at full strength. As a result he is already at a disadvantage against batman kryptonite or no kryptonite.

Right. If superman really wanted to take anyone out, kryptonite or not, he'd have no problem. He could just fly at them at 700 mph and run right through them. Or just blow a kiss at them from 100 yards away. If Supes weren't to hold back, no human would stand a second against him. His character is a weakness in this regard.

Straight up fight, we know it would be difficult for the Bat. But it wont be a straight up fight. we all know that. Batman relies on his intellect against every opponent as much as his physical strength. Why should that MO change just cos its Superman?

The problem I have is this tendency among some more hard-line Superman fans, of all people, to be saying oh enough of of the Bat-God stuff.... err right. Have a look at how Supes powers have developed over time. In a fictional world where an alien is powered by the sun to almost God-like proportions, its fine to have a human being who epitomizes the possible peak of mental and physical ability.

oh Supes cant get beaten up by Bats etc, it just isnt possible etc.. Ive got bad news. Supes will get beaten up in this movie. So will Bats.. but its gonna be a stalemate for sure.

exactly. both fan bases will get what they want.

They are going to have to go way over the top with Batman for him to compete with MoS Superman. I am curious how they do it, especially considering Superman's speed. At one point he was keeping up with Faora, who was like the Flash at times.

That's why this will be really amusing (in a dumb way) for me given the circumstances.

A fair fight against someone that is almost godlike? Kind of shocked the voting isn't more lopsided like 100% in Superman's favor. Bats is nothing to him. Supes could sneeze and Bruce is decapitated. Hopefully Snyder is as smart as everyone says and doesn't introduce Kryptonite which would easily cheapen the fight. Hell anyone on this board can beat Superman with Kryptonite. This fight should be the same as the animated fight in Justice League War as that is more realistic. End of story.

he has always figured out crazy hard stuff. even in the dark knight trilogy. i think they realize eventually that supes needs batmans criminal mind to beat lex and batman needs supes powers to fight the hardest rogues gallery ever. supes never out smarted his villians. he always had help because he was so honest. batman always overcame and outsmarted his opponents.

Huh?

I've never liked a Superman vs Batman fight. We all know how lopsided it is. That's been proven in the comics (at least in canon). Yet everyone remembers TDKR instead of the dozen or so other fights where Superman owned Batman.

I hate it because it lowers Superman. Here you have a god like being who can literally smite anyone from above. His intellect far exceeds any human too.

It would be like Batman getting schooled in strategy/prep/detective/martial arts by someone who is clearly beneath him. Would Batman fans like that if it happened?

I don't care if Batman has a suit of armor. He's not going to hold up against Clark. Even if Clark holds back or is weakened he'd still hurt Bruce. Yet we have to cater to the Batman fans. God forbid their guy gets owned by that super powered alien.

There is going to be a confrontation in BvS. I'd rather Batman "stop" Superman with words, instead of physically. Similar to Superman Red Son where Lex Luthor's letter "Why don't you put the whole world in a bottle Superman" was enough to stop him.

Maybe Bruce can mention something about Superman killing Zod. "What are you going to do Superman, kill me next?"

Superman has Godlike powers thats a given. But why are some conveniently forgeting that he would never unleash his full wrath on a human being? If he did how would lex luthor be his greatest nemesis? Kryptonite is not his greatest weakness in this context, its his character. To quote batman in hush,'' Deep down clark is essentially a good person...deep down am not." So please stop with the superman will vapourise or destroy batman in seconds notion. It wont happen.

It's stupid.

What's to stop Superman obliterating Lex in that battle armour he had, that a lot want or wanted to see at one point?

I'm sure the Bat-God will arise here. Like Superman, he holds back for mere mortals.

I hope Superman has since learned to fight in this sequel. He is portrayed as just a brawler with no fighting skills. How many times have we all read someone claiming...

"if Superman lost his powers he wouldn't stand a chance"

In the comics (at least pre-52) he had fighting skills. I want Clark to be learning how to fight. He wants to help/protect mankind. Then be prepared for any situation, that includes learning fighting styles.

I'm sure he's horned on his skills, after facing what he did in MOS.

Id like Bats and Supes to fight thrice in the movie

In the First Fight Bats puts up a very good fight but looses. He realizes Superman is not just very Powerful but skilled as well-Supes been training since Zod.So Bats is forced to retreat

In the 2nd Fight Bats is far better prepared and actually stalemates Supes. Fight is interrupted though

In the 3rd and Final fight Bats shows some uber Batgod planning and Dominates the fight.Superman is going to lose but is able to talk Bats down before he deals the decisive blow.ITs very clear that Bats would have won the final fight had it not been for Superman talking.

So Bats technically wins but Superman gets to be right

There will or put simply MUST be something that allows any sort of physical fight between the 2 put on more even terms. Simply because the Superman we saw in Man of Steel is depicted as being ultra powerful & highly resistant to all sorts of physical damage. I'm sure he can be hurt as he did go out of his way to avoid that F-35 gunfire.

As a counter to Superman being shown as ultra powerful, I anticipate Batman in this film being depicted as much smarter than we've ever seen him on screen before. So I surmise there will be something they'll come up with such as weakening Superman with Kryptonite or finding a way to have him shielded from the suns radiation lowering his power scale a little.

But quite simply I don't think Batman in Ironman calibre armour is going to cut it with a Superman this powerful.

Kryptonite and a missile that blots out the sun over Gotham...if Lex can't provide those, Mr. Burns can :o

In the comics he beats superman to a pulp. They wouldn't introduce Batman in the movie if it didn't have some chance at hurting Superman. The new comic con video shows a showdown with Batman in an armored suit. One things for sure. Everyones peeing there pants waiting for opening night.
