Well, see what you guys make of my example in the script I'm writing.
Batman kidnaps Lois (you'll understand why, once I post it

) in order to lure Superman out of hiding. He's innocent of the charges made against him by the Government, because America is trying to appease the other superpowers of the world who view him as a threat to their security, and Russia and China will band together into a WW3 against the US. To avoid this, Superman is framed by the Secretary of Defense, who Lex has influenced, to not just contain or exile Superman, but to kill him, with his newly made weapon; Kryptonite (which Lex has mockingly called it).
Anyway, Bruce manages to steal some equipment that Lexcorp created for the US Milatary, only to be used in the events of an Alien attack by US troops, never to be manufactured or acquired openly outside of this event. Since this would could further tensions between other countries if America were to start utilising the new technology. Lex, obviously wants to see his technology and weaponry used against Superman, and with that, would attempt to find a legal loophole in his Government contract, and start mass production on his technology on the public level. PC's and TV's using Kryptonian like components?
Batman manages to steal the armour and Kryptonite from Lex, when he brings Bruce Wayne and other company members in, after Bruce publicly declares his support of the arrest of Superman and the use of WE to help bring him in. So, Lex is sure that someone within the company, if not Bruce himself, is Batman or obviously have connections with him.
During the fight! Obviously, Superman would gain the upper hand over Batman and he would be a fool to go into this unprepared. But during his time of preparation, Batman has obviously clocked the strengths and weaknesses of him, and based his own technology, with that of stuff he stole from LexCorp, to match Superman. So, Bruce demonstrates intellectual superiority over Lex.
Of course, it would be impossible for Batman to claim victory just by making himself just AS powerful, fire can't be be fought with fire here. So, Batman NEEDS the use of Kryptonite as there is NO possible way of this fight being fair, and in both sides, nobody wants to see an unfair fight. Just because Superman is obviously more powerful than Batman, and I'm noting it, I don't want to see him win in under 5 minutes just because that is the case. It undermines Batman's strength as a warrior and you'd think, why would the JL want HIM in there? He has no real use to anyone in fighting alien scum. So, his technology and mostly his mind as a tactician, HAS to WOOP Superman with all the gadgetry and brainpower he has on offer.
Then, Superman, gets really pissed and unleashes all his fury on Batman and his gadgetry. Essentially, everything is almost destroyed...
That's how I'm demonstrating the fight between the two, fairly.
Superman wins, hands down.
Only then, Batman uses his final ace in the hole, and sets every Bat-Drone he has (which have been masquerading as Gargoyles the entire time on every building) to attack Superman from every angle, and when he's distracted, Batman fires several rockets at him, laced with Kryptonite gas, this obviously weakens him and ends the fight.
What comes after? I'm debating on the touching scene that has Clark remember the time and lessons he learned from his dad and tells Bruce to do the same and remember himself, or Wonder Woman shows up to stop Bruce delivering the final blow...
So, you get best of both worlds. Only, I need demonstrate the line from TDKRETURNS that Bruce shares with Clark, and Clark one day calling him "the most dangerous man on earth". That needs to happen to cement a human with no superpowers, as a member of the JL.
