I think he means that we may see them on Detective mode or something like that... like retractable.. not all the time. And that would fit the "surprise" effect, but it has less possibilites. We'll see.

You mean like detective vision in "Arkham" games? Maybe. Though those eyeholes don't look fitting for that to me. Especially not for narrow snake slits I'd like to see.

For detective mode it's perfect... They are as narrow as in the Arkham games. and it's movie. Everything can be possible if they want

I find them to be too big and shaped in the wrong way for that. Lenses would look as bad as those in TDK if not worse. Still they could CGI a bit of leather around white lenses and make the eyehole smaller that way.
But I think that Snyder feels that he has done enough when it comes to the white lenses with the mech suit.

These are absolutely perfect. But as you can see, they don't cover the entire eyehole, but approximately half of it. That's where movie magic, as you refer to it, would have to come in, or they'd look very strange a la "The Dark Knight" ones.

I still can't get over how much of an awe-inspiring masterpiece the suit turned out to be. Remember the old days when we thought this was the bee's knees? Now, it pales in comparison.

The lenses look best if they're contact lenses which make the eyeball look all white, imo.

I'm probably in the minority but I don't think the white lenses add anything, I like the blackened-eye look better. I'm not against them but they don't do anything for me.

I don't like the small lenses that fit exact eye shape.

I do remember that one! I did my version at the time too...those were the creative days!

This following one was my first Batfleck manip; all I did was replaced the face, but it's amazing how much it resembles what we ultimately got! Same color scheme for the most part, close fitting cowl, etc...but I'm SO happy with what we got- better than I could have imagined!!
