Yeah, that was a friends idea for a "home made" flash costume since he is not a billionaire, didn't get a military garb passed down to him, and his ring doesn't make his costume for him. Here is a far better updated one.

Definitely, no matter how good it may be, CGI will never beat a 100% realistic costume. It ruined Green Lantern by far, even though that was not the only thing that ruined that movie.

Very good point, but it is hard to make something look real that does not exist. For example, an entire city with cars, people, planes etc. CGI can make it look so good that you wouldn't even give it a second glance, which your link has very well proven. But for things that don't really exist; monsters, aliens, flying superhero costumes etc. it is hard to make it look really really well unless they a ton of money and time to do so. But you can not fool real life physical objects; animatronics, costumes, etc. I am not saying do no CGI, but for things you CAN do in real life then do them. Costumes are a given.

Believe it or not they wanted to make an animated show about clark/bruce bromance where they live in the same building but are oblivious to each other's alter egos. And this may still happen after BvS comes out.
