They are 2 different people!

Who? Butters and Prof Chaos? Maybe in Butters' twisted little head, but he started seeing everyone as Simpson characters at one point, soooo...

I love the simpsons, I love family guy, and i really like south park, but ive gotta go with the less original, family guy

I gotta say Family Guy is the best. Simpsons is a classic but the new episodes just aren't that funny. Every family guy episode is funny plus Stewie's my homeboy.

South Park...been watching since the 7th grade... and Futurama. I never really got into The Simpsons. I am beginning to hate Family Guy with every new episode.

I hear a lot of Simpsons isn't as good as it use to be etc.

But shouldn't it be judged as a whole?

The Simpsons, in their prime, were a lot better than Family Guy now. So The Simpsons gets my vote.

Simpsons has longevity on it's side. It had like 10 straight seasons that were great. Nothing matches up to that. Family guy started slipping in season 2.

10 seasons? try 17 seasons

372 aired episodes so far

oh okay...I didn't catch the "that were great" in JcDc's post... still, that beats the other ones.

How many of them are good seasons though

at least 10, and it's pretty hit and miss lately, the last season was pretty good.

Kyle: "You should like that show."

Cartman: "Don't you ever compare me to Family Guy!"

South Park won a Peabody Award this year? Wow!

It's a tough choice for me. I revisit the old Simpsons episodes, and I'm back in love. Then I watch a new one, and I want to off somebody. So, if I'm going by who hit the highest high, I'd go with the Simpsons. For the better average of quality, Futurama.

You said exactly what I was thinking. The Simpsons in its prime was the Elvis, Beatles, Godzilla, King Kong, Batman, Superman of comedy. These days not so much. Futurama comes pretty close to defeating the gods but not quite.

1.The Simpsons
2.Futurama
3.Family Guy
4.South Park

5.American Dad (should have been pretty good, yet it wasn't...at all.)

LOL, you don't get it, it's not the fact that it's family, Family Ties was based on hundreds of others, but they where funny and original in some concepts, not genius, but funny, growing pains was just a ripoff of family ties and some people really liked growing pains, didn't make it any less of a ripoff.

Family Ties was about Elyse and Steven Keaton. Elyse was a very successful architect and Steven ran a public television station; both were former flower children. They lived in Columbus, Ohio with their three children: Alex Keaton, Mallory Keaton, and Jennifer Keaton.

Growing Pains was about the Seaver family. Dr. Jason Seaver, a psychiatrist who works from home because his wife, Maggie, has gone back to work as a reporter. Jason has to take care of his kids: 15-year-old troublemaker Mike, 14-year-old honors student Carol, and rambunctious 9-year-old Ben.

Damn, you're right. Growing Pains is a ripoff. Excellent point.

Luck of the Fryish, The Sting and The Wry of Fry are all touching episodes of Futurama.

I'm going to start watching more of it on syndication.

I can't watch "Jurassic Bark" without tearing up a little. It takes a true man to admit that. Simpsons had some touching episodes too though.

FUTURAMA is the best, but I voted for FAMILY GUY... I have been watching it alot latley. The new FUTURAMA stuff should be great

I didnt like AMERICAN DAD at first (Thught it was a low rate FAMILY GUY)... after the episode with stan trying to kill the squirrel I was hooked.

SOUTH PARK was funny for a few years then it went crap... The recent series have been quite good though.

Simpsons jumped the shark a few years back.

The Simpsons. They've been on the air for almost two decades.

(Really, Ren and Stimpy are the progenitors of the satirical animated comedy, but since they're not in the pole. . .)

Futurama was to cyberpunk what The Simpsons was to the slice of life genre. Personally I'm much more of a cyberpunk fan so I go with Futurama. I think it was the most creative, poignant, and even relevant of the lot of them.
