i dont understand why people dont like this better than MW2 or Halo...

i buy like two games a year (for each system).. this is a must. Battlefield neverrr dissapoints, easily my favorite and most addictive shooter.

There's gonna be a Beta for PC in December, but not for Xbox.

Then there's going to be a demo for all platforms somewhere after that.

It looks a lot like Battlefield 2.
It's too bad Vietnam will probably never be touched again, the setting worked very well for the sandbox environment.

Yeah Infinity Ward is so much better than Dice they remembered to make a PC version of that game right? Sorry, but that alone brings them down a few notches. The sad thing is that Modern Warfare 2 isn't even better than Modern Warfare 1, no matter what platform it's on.

And even as good as Modern Warfare 1 is it's still eclipsed by freaking Battlefield 2, a game that was released over 5 years ago. That's probably still the most intense "modern warfare" FPS ever made as far as multiplayer is concerned. The scale of the battles you were able to have was immense.

ive been watching almost every MW2 vid and all i see it has that BF doesnt is variety in story mode (like rock climbing crap or w/e)...

I personally think KZ2 is better than MW2. =/

I mean don't get me wrong MW2 is great but in my opinion Killzone 2 is more realistic...which is sad because thats not even what they were trying to achieve in that game.

MW2 just doesn't make any sense with its kill system. Maybe its because I'm playing it on my PS3 and the servers suck for PS3 but seriously a guy charging at me with a knife and I spray a clip into him...he is going to be dead before he can stab me.

Also, I hate how they want you to zoom in to get kills when its more accurate to fire at the hip! I also am able to survive bomb drops!? How is that even possible. I think this game will definetely be better than MW2, the fact that you can blow up buildings...now thats real warfare.

I'm downloading the beta, looking forward to this.

well actually that whole knife thing is unfortunatly in Bad Company as well...

somehow i always sneak up to a hidden sniper to get revenge and as soon as i start unloading my clip into them they've already turned around and stabbed me (once) to death. lol

Not it's not that, the solution to that is simple, don't buy it. But just like in the other thread you're completely ignoring the bigger impact this has when PC games start going the way of console games.

Modern Warfare 2 is a game. If you want realism, play ArmA or Operation Flashpoint.

Oh yeah I know.

I should have been more elaborate. Reviewers and gamers are constantly saying that the Modern Warfare serise are the closest thing to actual warfare. While I would agree in some instances, I think other games do a far better job creating a war-like atmosphere.

This game is a perfect example of that. I hope in the future games incorporate a destruction system similar to that of BFBC2.

I'm on the beta...and I am impressed, so far. This is my first experience with BF multiplayer, and it's pretty good.

I have a better handle on the guns in this than COD4, for some reason. I dunno if it's the large open spaces that let me breathe or just a different feel with the guns.

its the large open spaces...

sure it's sometimes a hassle having to walk a mile to find a human but its worth complete freedom and not having to worry about whats behind all the trash and corners around you like in MW2 lol

This is my first time playing a BF MP as well and I love it. I have been playing this and the MAG Beta and I actually prefer this game right now. It's just so satisfying killing a sniper with a tank and part of the building goes down with him.t:

finally got around to playing MW2... its fun but BC is lightyears better.
its pretty much subpar in every field, except that it has more game modes (none of which are better than the gold crates in BC). Every level is so cramped up that its useless to be a sniper. I didnt play single player but i would assume the story is better than BC's... though less humorous.

the only good reason i see to get MW2 is because so many people have it you'd be able to play with all your friends online (like Halo).
