Beat from X2 vs. Beast from X3.

I think when a small cameo like that occurs, the next films have the right to change things if it fits a better idea they have. So the cameo in x2 is just a wink really. Nothing more.

I wish Beast looked more like this.

Anyone up for making a minip?

I like the idea that he had fur in X3 but none in X2, that was a good call by Singer and then later by Penn and Kinberg.

I beg the mods to close this thread there is no point to it.

Dr. Henry McCoy was talking to Sebastian Shaw in X2. wouldnt it have been really cool to see him and the rest of the Hellfire Club in there? and did anyone see Ashley Hartman at the funeral? i think i did...

Hey if George Lucas was in charge he'd digitally insert Kelsey Grammar into that scene in X2;)

  .

Could be plausible to think that Beast was transformed at the same time of the Dark Cerebro incident (not necessarily from Dark Cerebro itself)?..

What's entirely plausible is that Beast was an original X-Man who went on to gain some notoriety in larger circles (like in X2, perhaps as a political advisor or some other level position), was ashamed of his appearance and powers at some point, and tried to "cure" hismelf, but ended up turning himself blue and furry, just like what happened in the comics. At that point, he came to terms with it, but not completely. It fits nicely, considering he still considers the cure an interesting proposition (So maybe he's not been blue and furry for that long). It's obvious he's thinking about how having it would affect him from the second he finds out about it.

Although Beast didn't always have blue fur in the comics, a film version without just would not be the same.

I don't know, I think a hairy, stocky guy would have worked. As long as he had the ovewr sized hands and feet (it worked in League of Extrodinary Dudes).

It was intended by Singer to show Hank becoming blue and furry when Cerebro targets mutants at the end of X2. It was also intended to show other mutations going crazy that point. But budgetary reasons prevented it...

Dude in X2 he was still not mutant.
Umm, yes he was. Mutation begins when they're teenagers. Beast in X2 was no teen. And Beast wasn't furry at first in the comics.

  Yeah, i say go for it, 20th Century Fox... What would it hurt, it's not like your KILLING him off!?!??! (coughPX,coughCych,cough,JG...)

But seriously, I can't even debate this, Beast is arguably one of the best things in X3, and easily the BEST addition to the movie! He brings heart and soul and action to the movie...PERFECT job, Kelsey Grammar!!! Bring back BEAST in X4!!

Personally I thought the Beast from X3 was way better. Although they only used the Beast just in the back ground of X2, I think the blue beast is the true beast.

My IQ just lowered:(
