David, any new updates to report? I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm still working on it.... :)

Put it this way, every time I decide I'm DONE with the cowl I end up seeing a new detail or something I missed before. Here it is now....and we are close but not done yet.

Hey buddy,
I saw your cowl and thought it was pretty cool....then the idea that it was your first cowl sculpt, mold and casting hit me and sunk in. Damo you did a FANTASTIC job on yours. My first latex mask certainly didnt look nearly as good as yours does.
Of course, like in all things...practice makes perfect. I'm still working at getting better and better each and every day and I've been at this now for 21 years. Naturally I'll get certain results seeing as I've been doing this for a long time but trust me...not always good ones either.

I think you've certainly grown over the coarse of your own progress and that can only go to your benifit.
Look...we all started somewhere. Stick with it...ask questions and dont be worried about making mistakes.

.....If you only new how many I made in a given day....

On the question of Selling this stuff....sorry. Not possible...:(

David

this will be cool to see someone else in the suit. That thing looks so much like the one in the movie, I can't tell the difference. Awsome, Years ago I used to make masked. Mostly halloween ones like Michael Myers and a few others. I stopped doing it to persue other activities.

Just a little tweaking here and there....fixing the mouth opening now...smoothening the entire thing then DONE!....err...hopefully!!?!

Is there anyone here who can do some photoshop work with this?

I'd love to see this cowl photoshopped on the chest if at all possible...:) Maybe the top cowl pic onto this chest pic?
I have no clue how to do that stuff...any takers?

Sure David. I can give it a try. I am not sure if I will get the positioning and proportions perfect on the first try, but I can fix it if I mess it up.

Give me a few minutes.

How much would they cost to have?

Sorry, but none of my Bat related items are for sale.

I make them for myself only. :(

David

Hey David, here is a real quick version. I will make it a lot better, but I need your input on something. I tried to make the head the best size possible, but now that I did, the bottom of the neck hangs over the chest of the suit. What would you recomend?

Should I trim the bottom of the cowl, or make it smaller, or what?

OK...cool!!!

I think...again I'm no pro' with this stuff...

First my pic is angled down so no way will it work perfectly on the chest.
I think the head is a tad too big and needs to be lifted up a bit. It almost looks like he has no neck....
Can you try to reduce the cowl just a bit and lift it up? Dont worry if the cowl doesnt rest on the shoulders or anything like that.

Looks good anyhow. Finally I start to envision how this can all look when complete.

:)

David

the cowl looks a little deeper on the right side of the face. I donno, could be the pic. But so awsome, I wish I could fit in it. I have the muscle but out weight bale by 40-50 pounds...its a body building thing.

Much better!!
Thanks buddy.

You want to take a crack at adding the chest logo then making this a black and white pic...or something like the suit color??

Nice work man and thanks!

David

I can make a black version of the suit quite easily, but adding the chest logo might be pretty tough. I don't think I even have a good image of it, but maybe I can take it off one of the real suit pictures.

David, you can't sell your Bat-items because you're not licensed correct?

Also, its really coming into its own now [your sculpt]

Cool man.
Whatever you're in the mood to try to photoshop with this is fine by me....:)
These cropped images really help me with completing the work that remains on it.

I really cant thank you enough!!!!!!!

You hope I like it????

hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Bro'....thank you very much!
I'm so happy I want to send you a full suit!!!!...of course I cant do that but you really put a smile on my face man.

This shows me where I need to tweak certain things and basically how this will look in the end....hmmmm...not to shabby. I've been working on this for so long I've grown sick of looking at it and when that happens it's easy to lose sight of details and proportions. This puts me right back on track!

Great stuff man!
Great stuff!

Thanks my friend!

David,

It appears you've choosen to emphasize the sternocleidomastoid muscle(s), which do not appear as prominently on the actual cowl (at least as far as I can tell). Is that just an effect of the sculpt process (i.e., they'll become more 'subtle' in the final sculpt) or do you intend to keep them this way?

No problem David! Glad I could help out.

I can't wait to see more developements on your suit! I know it is going to be awesome when finished!
