Looking good man! Are you still using a wetsuit as the undersuit, or are you going to tailor up something special?

Glad you like it. :)

Sort of...wont use the wetsuit because that is too uncomfortable and hot to wear. I'll glue it down to a long sleeved cotton shirt...same for the legs. Should work just as well without having to dislocate my shoulder to take it off or put it on.

thank you. Hey, some girl who shops at the store came on with this thick polyester/lycra material that had almost a Leather like-vynal look to it, but was actually pourous cloth. I figure if you can find the right material, you can have someone tailor a jumpsuit that could blend in with sculpted foam better than spandex, with less touch ups.

And though you can tell you've been hammering out the sculpture, have you started exsperimenting with foams and possible skins? I know that theres like 15 densities of Foams you can buy anymore, and the suit looks very thin in recent photos, so I figure its going to be a pain to find one that will work for it.

All my muscle suits are cast in latex skins and inner cast foams.
As a result all the muscle suits are pretty flexible and easy to wear.

Some suits have molds with cores while others dont.

This first one will be thick, yet semi-flexible latex. I have to bring it to Atlanta,Georgia next weekend for Dragon Con and dont want to risk anything happening to it...after that....all my replica suits I make for myself will be latex and foam cast.
I make my own foam in house now and I just might try a silicone skin to see how this can look and move in silicone.

Anyhow I dont want to move too fast here....:)...once the sculpt is complete I'll mold it then bring one with me...when I get back I will take a short Vacation...like a day or so...LOL then worry about all the other stuff!!!!...
As for the fabric..sounds cool however you really wont see any of it other than the elbow area and inner thighs and knees. Besides, I will coat that area in latex so it'll be a perfect match.

Thanks for the tip....let me know if that fabric is light....may have other uses for it if it's not too expencive.

Yep, the grey of that clay (and it is just the clay, it's not what the final suit(s) will be made of) is probably the right shade of grey that a black and grey suit should be in a movie.

I can't wait to see David's all black and black and grey (and David, make sure the grey IS pretty dark) Begins suits side-by-side and see how "camp" the B&G looks (i.e no-more camp than the black one).

can't wait to see your take on the cowl as well David

Simply Amazing David, I can't wait to see this thing when your done.

David I wouyld so pay you to make me one, but I bet it is mad expensive!! It would be good to hand halloween candy to kids with that bad boy on!!!

He won't sell you any because it will get him in deep ****. You're not allowed to make something based on a character someone else owns and then sell it. Otherwise all the guys who can make movie-quality costumes (and there are a few who can) would be selling them.

There are people who sell generic (i.e. non copyright infringing) armour, but anything with bats or scallops on it is a no-no for selling.
