Being Human On BBC3 / BBC America

Good news.

Toby Whithouse and co. are currently working on series 2 of the show which will be 8 episodes.

So, has anyone else seen the new adverts for this show?

Edit: According to the BH blog it starts Jan 10th.

Thats good to hear, that and Hustle are the only things I'm looking forward to just now.

Also heard that there's going to be a US remake...

Yeah it was announced a few weeks ago, they haven't even shot the pilot yet and I'm already dreading it.

Just reminding everyone that Being Human series 2 starts tonight at 9:30 on BBC3.

I just don't think I'd like the characters as much if they were American.

The English thing is part of the appeal of this show to me.

I'm a bit confused by the last episode. So, was Saul actually mental or what? I didnt really understand.

I think he was supposed to be unstable, but not a full on mental. When I watched it his being dead for 6 minutes was supposed to have changed him and given him some level of mediumship (He bacme part of "the flotsam and jetsam of death"), which allowed the men behind the door to contact him and show him... Terry Wogan.

You know the big thing I'm hoping for this series is that vampire kid coming back to bite them in the ass. Has to happen some time...

Just started watching Being Human. I'm almost done with the first series. I like it. Saw the circumstances of Annie's death coming a mile off, but I still like it.

Just got this on DVD from Netflix. Really enjoyed it. Watching this show made me really mad at Hollywood. How the hell can a lower budget show like this do a werewolf transformation that is so much more convincing and terrifying(it's nearly identical to American Werewolf in London) then the CGI crap Hollywood always uses for these kinds of things. It's probably the best werewolf transformation I've seen since AWIL.

Is anyone watching Series 3? I'm enjoying it a hell of a lot more than series 2.

After mainly being familiar with the Syfy series, which is great as far as I'm concerned, I've been checking out some of the original series on demand. Mainly series 3 and 4. I've really been enjoying it. I'm really liking the characters of Tom and Hal. Maybe it's because the Syfy series has yet to get around to characters like them, so they just seem fresher to me, I don't know.

But either way, it just gets a big thumbs up from me.

Just spent the last 2 weeks watching seasons 1 - 4 of this OnDemand and love it!

I like Annie, mitchell, Nina and George but like Hal and Tom more. Can't wait for season 5.

Also, Annie's awesome "Give me back my f'ing baby!" line solidified the season finale.

I watched a few eps of the US version, and it doesn't have the same magic.

I love this series, but I love the Syfy version too. Honestly, there are some aspects of the Syfy series that I flat out prefer. I'll take Josh over George any day. Same doesn't go for Annie, though. She's just too lovable. And, yeah, Hal and Tom are pretty great too.

I liked George the least. His girly scream during transformations were ssssoooooo awful.
