I was watching GoldenEye this morning and the question came to mind. I vote for George Lazenby. :o :o :o

Lazenby??!! Shame on you, Catman.

I loved Brosnan's entrance, mostly because it was awesome in the movie (especially the bungie jump) but also because it was awesome to play it in the video game.

I also really liked Craig's entrance, since "Casino Royale" is one of my favorite Bond films.

EDIT: Whoops, is this favorite opening sequence, or gun-barrel sequence?

It's favorite introduction of a new actor in the Bond role. Or in Connery's case...THE introduction of the actor playing Bond.

Gotcha. I thought this was favorite gun-barrel sequence. I had all of mine picked and everything. :o

Daniel Craig's introduction in Casino Royale is solid, but my favorite introduction has to be Pierce Brosnan's in Goldeneye.

That beach fight was awesome! :cmad:

Would have been better if it hadn't been Lazenby as Bond. People can say what they want about Timothy Dalton, but I still think he was a better Bond than Lazenby. Thank God he was only in one movie.

It came down to these two, and I just picked one. I think because Brosnan was always just a little too handsome.

And BTW you guys need to pay your respects:

Connery's intro was effortlessly cool and smooth, and has the untouchable 60's cinema glamour.

Lazenby's beach fight is the most stylised part of any Bond film so far. The beach photography is wonderful and the editing is frenetic.

Moore's intro is a laid-back affair. It's okay but M visiting Bond at home while he's shagging is not the stuff of great introductions.

Dalton's is much better, although it's not especially Bond-esque. It could be any action man, although the gag at the end where he conviniently lands on a boat with a beautiful woman is perfect Bond.

Brosnan's intro begins with an jaw-dropping stunt - but finally shows Brosnan upside down in a toilet watching a guy taking a crap.

Craig's intro combines a top fight scene with a very sinister assasination ("Considerably.")

It was so simple yet so cool.

It was badass!

The worst Bond introduction! :cmad:

It was pretty good :yay:

The restroom scene was classic. :woot:

Very gritty and very cool.

I vote Goldeneye...I've seen every bond movie except moonraker and diamonds are forever because I was told they just didnt feel like bond movies...my grandpa had the entire video collection when I was a kid, I would watch one every weekend when i visited...and at the time the newest one released was Goldeneye in the theaters...I watched them all and still feel like Brosnan had the best opening...and I too watched it on Spike TV this morning and got goosebumps...no music, just the sounds of his freefall/bungie jump...a real stunt...and breathtaking...and when he says "forgot to knock"...my gf who'd never seen this one laughed out loud...I held back because I've seen it a million times but her reaction said it all...suspenseful, funny and action packed suave that one can expect from a Bond movie...and thats just from the opening.

Brosnan's introduction was great, but I'm sticking with Lazenby. :o :o :o

1. Sean Connery at the casino while hitting on his rival...classic (I'd say Goldfinger is best though).

2. Brosnan on the opening mission is also a classic epic action sequence complete with Sean Bean. ;)

3. Craig getting his license, not nearly as cool as the above two, but afffectively brutal.

Jesus f'n Christ!! Have some of you people even seen the Bond movies?? Connery should be winning this thing by a land slide!

I'm sorry but Connery is looking 500 shades of sexy, playing cards and as he lights up his cig and introduces himself, that was pure silk...in fact it was silk, gold and poetry all rolled into one. The most memorable scene in cinematic history....yet he only has 14 odd% of the votes??!!!
Connery IS James Bond and no other Bond has been introduced as effortlessly stylish as he has. FACT!!!

Nope. As far as I'm concerned, I thought Brosnan's introduction was better than Connery's.

It wasn't even Brosnan...it was a bloody stuntman. Moore's Union Jack parachute jump beats that by far.

I would imagine the Brosnan movies are more widely seen by Hype! posters than the Connery ones.

Both are great stunts, but the parachute ski jump also adds the legendary Union Jack parachute that had British audiences cheering (and still does).

Some of them do. People cheered when Bond rescued Vesper from the underwater elevator when I went to see CR.
