If anything out of all the men who have played James Bond over the decades, who do you think takes the cake as being the best Bond of all time if you had to choose?

Sean Connery
David Niven
George Lazenby
Roger Moore
Timothy Dalton
Pierce Brosnan
Daniel Craig

Me I voted Pierce Brosnan even though Craig he has pretty much made the character of Bond his own, Pierce Brosnan pretty much brought the character back to prominence after he was in decline

Connery. He single-handedly made Bond the cinematic icon that he is. Okay, maybe not single-handedly. Terrence Young must also be credited to molding Sean.

I love of all of them, and my favorite Bond actor changes from time to time. Right now it's Timothy Dalton for me.

Dalton
Craig
Connery
Lazenby
Moore
Brosnan

Sean Connery all the way.

Daniel Craig is a close second.

Sean Connery is the definitive Bond and always will be, but I think Daniel Craig delivers the best portrayal, if that makes any sense.

Sean Connery is the top dog.

Daniel Craig is second.

Connery is the standard by which all other Bonds are judged.

Unlike some here i am huge fan of pierce Brosnan as Bond but Sean Connery
was the master it's him for me with Brosnan a close second.

You forgot Barry Nelson in the poll, by the way, even though I doubt anyone would ever vote for him.

The popular choice is always going to be Connery but you know what? I think craig is the best. His bond has all the defining chararateristics of the worlds most famous spy but he's also modern so there isn't that uncomfortable feeling you get like when you watch sean Connery slap or strangle a woman or rape ***** galore

I think Daniel Craig nails the character the most and gives the best actual acting performance. He has all the characteristics to me, the detached hardened killer with a guarded vulnerability, the dry humor, the charisma and sex appeal, and I buy him as a tough fighter far more than any other Bond, including Connery.

Connery. No question, he made the character a pop icon, everyone else is just playing for Silver. Connery's Bond just seemed always cool and in control. I miss that in the newer Bonds.

That was the first thing I looked for on the poll (wanted to see how complete it was)....too bad he left off David Niven, Peter Sellers, and Woody Allen too.

Niven is there. Sellers and the other 'Bonds' from that movie were fakes assuming his identity, so I'm not sure they count.

In terms of being a definitive representation of the role, Sean Connery. He absolutely defined what the iconic version of James Bond is. Roger Moore is second in this regard.

In terms of performance, it would have to be Craig.

This is a very hard choice but based on overall performance and quality, I am going to have to go with Daniel Craig, with Sean following by extremely closely.

Well duh, how did I miss that, my eyes are going......since in the movie MI6 renames all it's agents Bond, technically they would be Bond in my opinion....but then I can't see some things right in front of me so what do I know......

In the case of the 007 series I'm not as invested to whom is the better Bond but I'll go with my favorite of the movies

Casino Royale
The Living Daylights
License To Kill
Goldeneye

In regards to Connery I've only seen him in Never Say Never Again which I know isn't considered one of the finest Bond films but I was born in 1976 so it's hard for me to watch any movies before I was born, they just seem to tacky if that makes me a dork then so be it.

You are missing out. Film is just about telling a good story. You don't always need special effects to tell a good story. The Godfather is voted by many as the greatest film ever and that was 1972. There are hundreds of others.

I will play here are my top 5 bond films

From Russia With Love
Goldeneye
On her Majestry's secret service
You Only Live Twice
The world Is Not Enough

My top five:

Goldfinger
