Best CBM of 2017

Yes. Five excellent movies, six if you count legos, and JL. Also it was year that had all the big names on screen, if even in supporting parts: Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, Iron Man, Wonder Woman, and Wolverine. Probably will not see that again for a long time if ever.

Last year too and it had even more heroes like X-Men, Deadpool and everyone on Civil War. The only characters missing were Thor, Hulk and the Guardians.

I'd say Logan is the best superhero film of 2017, but Wonder Woman is my favorite.

2017 is the most overrated CBM year. Every single CBM this year is overpraised to a degree.

I kind of agree but I think Logan, Ragnarok and Guardians Vol. are really good. Homecoming and Wonder Woman are extremely overrated but they're still fine. It's the most consistent year for the genre, although the 3 great CBMs from 2014 are amazing and better than anything this year IMO

Just want to point out that we had more than 7 comic book movies this year. Not that any of the others were good enough to be anyone's favorite...but still...it'd have been nice to see them listed/recognized as existing.

1. Spidey(I just love Spidey to death so its an unfair advantage.)
2. Thor: the chemistry between the actors in this film was one of the best I've seen so far in a hero film.
3. Logan: honestly in another league not just as a superhero film but a film in general. Definitely deserves an Oscar. Or some sort of award.

Haven't seen/probably won't see Wonder Woman, Lego Batman, or Justice League. The others Heretic mentioned are higher on my priority list, but not in a rush to see them.

I think this was a great year. Spider-Man finally has a return to form which made me ecstatic, but Thor was a better movie, best of his franchise and I think the best Marvel Studios movie this year. I'll probably be debating it with myself for some time. I think it has a leg up on the action and characters, seeing these established MCU characters pushed forward as opposed to new characters introduced in HC. Logan was on another level, from someone who mostly loved The Wolverine, and has been able to see each film since the first in theaters, Logan made for a great bookend.

Saw Ragnorak again today, enjoyed it even more 2nd time, but Logan still just slightly edges it out for me.

I am enjoying Homecoming a bit more upon re-watch, but lots of things in The movie still bother me a lot.

Keeping in mind that I don't watch the MCU films anymore, I've gotta give it up to Wonder Woman. Amazing movie all around. If JL was more of Snyder's full vision rather than the Frankenstein's Monster mashup we got, it might take the top spot but not as is. Of course Logan is great too.
