Civil War Best cinematic Spider-Man suit?

Naw, take a look at the CW suit. There is obnoxious design work all over the place.

The ASM2 suit looks as simple as anyone drawing it in the comics. It doesn't have weird defined seam lines, capsule belt, black stripes everywhere, mechanical camera lense eyes, wrist bands and that's just from a 3 second trailer bit lol.

Literally the only unnecessary element on the suit is the black chevrons on the arms. (And I love it) Everything else on the design serves a purpose -- Web cartdrige belt, Webshooters, emotive eye lense etc, everything is there for a reason. It's the classic design MCU-ized. And it all comes together beautifully. It makes TASM2 suit look bland and boring imo.

The mask design for CW is fantastic for what it is and I really like the web design even if it does look a bit cheap.

It doesn't look cheap at all in the Hi-Res pic. It actually looks engraved into the suit which is a nice change of pace fromthe tired raised grey webbing technique that should have remained exclusive to the Raimi suit and not carried to the TASM2 suit.

The whole suit is very "Captain America" to me. Not a bad thing, but it follows the same route as Caps suit. Taking the look from the comics and grounding it, adding in random seams and straps and junk. It's almost too similar in design work. The addition of the shield in the one shot we have, just tops it off hahaha.

If by Cap you mean MCU. It's taking the classic Ditko/Romita suit and updating/modernising it for the MCU. None of the Cap costumes are overdesigned just updated. It separates this suit from every previous suit in the best way.

Should have kept it more simple, but like I said this suit looks like a special combat suit spiderman would have. Not his normal everyday suit. If that's the case then... Sweet.

This is THE suit... Unless you're referring to the crappy homemade one he will have before the upgrade. This suit will probably get tweaked for the solo film, but I highly doubt he will completely ditch the suit. This is being set up as the origin for the costume similarly to the final suits for Raimi and Webb.

For me, the suit in Raimi's Spider-Man 2 takes the cake, some subtle yet great improvements from the S1 suit. I like a little from every suit (the least from ASM1) and I can't wait to see more from the Civil War suit(s), looks great so far.

I'm partial to the large eyes (product of growing up on mid 90s Bagley drawn Spidey) so I did really enjoy TASM2's suit. It was damn good...the rest of the movie...well yeah. But I really like this suit. It looks great. I need to see more of it though.

I'm not an MCU guy but damn that Spider-Man suit is glorious! It's such a throwback and I am digging the hell out of it. I thought the suit couldn't get better than TASM 2 but I was proven wrong.

Give the ASM1 suit a belt, remove the thigh strips and give it ASM2's eyes and it'd be the best Spidey suit in my eyes.

The CW suit just feels way to safe for me...uninspired even. I hate the black strips; they're an absolute eye sore, and I think the flat webs are a mistake. I like that they went with emotive eyes, but think the ridges and "rubbed off" paint look of each segment is distracting. It's not a bad suit by any means, but it could have, no, should have been better.

It's the lack of raised webbing on the suit. For me, that keeps it from 'popping' off the screen.

Looks okay, but nothing will ever top the Raimi suits, IMO. Those suits were game changers for superheroes on film.

I think the Cap suits ARE over designed. It's not just modernization. Just tell me what all of those straps and patches, zippers, and seams are used for? It's just over designed to make it more utilitarian and militaristic. That's not a problem, just stating that it's the same with this Spider-Man. Thats where you get the freaking dumb looking black lines and rigid seams that shouldn't be there. The web cartridge belt makes sense yes, but doesn't make it visually appealing. It interrupts the flow of the suit. The spider on the chest is pretty crappy too, I'd imagine everyone universally agrees on that haha.

Don't get me wrong though, I like the suit overall, I just think its SO close to greatness, but missed the mark. Change a few things and it would be perfect. Thats what's so freaking frustrating.

The web design is growing on me, I don't have as much problem with that as I do the other features. There was raised webbing on the ASM2 suit yes, but it wasn't nearly as prominent as Raimis, and it isn't silver/grey. It refined the look to perfection.

This CW suit isn't necessarily a step back, but it's not a step forward. A step sideways perhaps.
