I like Rise of the Silver Surfer the best. Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis, and Ioan Grufford were really great in their roles. Doug Jones was excellent as always and the effects were really good. Fishburne was a little out of place as the voice but it worked better than I thought. The switching powers seemed corny but worked better than I thought coupled with Johnnys irresponisbility plot points was very entertaining.

RotSS is a certainly impressive and exciting, but I have to say the extended 2005 movie is the most satisfying and effective one.

Haven't seen the extended cut as of yet, don't care to see the Corman version, so I go with ROTSS.

Oh man! I have to say i own that Corman film on VHS, and it is by far the worst one ever! I got it cause i wanted to see just how bad it was. The Hand on a pole in the limo as they drive off from the wedding is the cheesiest thing ever.
The best would have to be ROTSS because it had it moments. like when Surfey was saying that yes.we all have choices( you could feel those Heroic comic book goose pimples start to rise), the Thing was stopping the helicopter blades from killing Alicia( We ain't having that on my watch!), and The Torch was just the best.I didn't mind the combining of powers, cause johnny had being messing up so bad before. so it gets my vote.

ROTSS is the best one, but quite frankly none of the FF really live up to its potential due to weak direction and script. If a movie like The Incredibles (who borrowed many ideas off FF comics) can be so good and successful, I don't see why FF movies cannot the likewise. But as long it is made by Fox, it won't have a chance to become a "fantastic" movie.

really the extended version of F4 1 is as good?

rotss was the best

the rc version was good it stuck to the comics but the acting was terrible and not because it was under bedget

Hmmm...Here is my breakdown:

FF (1994) - The movie is low budget and sucks in all ways. But, I think the movie had a good outline and overall story platform. Had we had decent dialogue, acting, and effects, the movie would have done a good job at doing Doom's origin and the FF's origin in the same movie (a feet people seem to think is perilous on here).

3/10 - If only money and talent was put into this

FF (2005) - This movie has good effects (minus some of Reed's effects), gets the family aspect of the FF mostly right, and effectively makes Ben the main character, and does a good to decent job with the FF members. However, Doom just sucks as a villain in this. Doesn't even deserve the name. He is never really a threat, and goes after the FF way to late into the movie. I mean, we get only one real fight. Could have done more.

6/10 - Passable, but easily could have been better

FF: ROTSS

Good job with 3 of the main FF members (though Johnny's complaints pale in comparison to Ben's from the first), but Ben fades away and does little in this movie. Doom is somewhat improved, but still lacking. I mean, he puts on a metal suit FOR NO REASON and is way to easily beaten by Super Skrull Johnny (lame fight :down) The SS looks cool and I feel was done fairly well, but leaving Galactus and the ending vague hurts the movie and the concept of the Surfer (shouldn't need a spin-off to fix an ending). Also, Reed's effects still suck, but they are otherwise very good.

6.5/10 Better, but still, not great.

I guess ROTSS is the best, but there is lots of room for improvement in this series. Especially concerning the area of villains.

The extended version of the 2005 film helped it a lot....so at this point, I'd have to rewatch it and ROTSS back to back to make a judgement.

Pretty much summed it up.

Silver surfer was better than spidey 3 for me, once it got itself going. A better rounded film but still requiring masses of room for improvement.

Never saw the 1994 version so I can't comment on it.

Neither of the Tim Story FF films from 2005-2007 were particularly good, but I will concede the 2nd one was a little better.

Because the Incredibles is an animated piece of family entertainment and comedy. If they reduced FF to that you guys would be outraged.

Sadly, 94 FF had the best Doom, and he was awful. :doom:

The guy with the silver boogie board....The Rise Of The Silver Surfer of course...

As of now. Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer is the top FF film, but...I would like to see Marvel Regain the rights, and make a great FF film.

Rise of the Silver Surfer is the best, but that isn't saying a whole lot.

Never saw the extended of the '05, but I have to go with the original 05. Rise was almost as bad as 94 imo

Never saw the first one before, but I did see the newer versions and liked them both. But I do like the 2 film better, gave a good take on my favorite FF character Jonny.
