i voted something else, in my mind it's a tie between Johnny 5 of Short Circuit and the titual Iron Giant

I WOUld say i robot. the day the earth stood still had robots. i also the iron ganit is about alien robot. its cartoon moive. at the being of X-Men 3 wolvring was fighting gaint sentail robot.

Best movies about robots are Terminator 1 and 2. However, I do enjoy Bishop and Ash quite alot from the Alien movies...however, those movies are not about robots.

Idk, I'd say the terminator movies were more about the people trying to get away from the robots, they try giving Armie more of a personality in 2 and 3 but he's really just a cool killing machine. I know what you mean though(edit: The plot hinges on Robots), it's just I'd say a movie about the robots/cyborgs was more something like Robocop(which i voted for) or Bladerunner(artificial beings anyway), where they focus on the character of the artificial being.
Robocop is something I would call a perfect movie, no flab, and the way they handle Murphy coming to terms with his new way of being couldn't be better.

I picked the Terminator series overall you just have to forget T3 was ever made. Close behind that to me is Blade Runner it was ahead of its time imo and probably in the Top 5 sci-fi films of all times..
