Just because there were no huge fight scenes, just because the film seemed to have a side-plot rehash of Superman: The Movie, just because you disagree with Superman having an illegitimate son with Lois, it shoudn't change the overall critique of the film. Bryan Singer's vision and direction transcended all of the commonly referenced "flaws". I had to put my fanboyism aside, and accept the film for what it was. The depth of the Superman, and showing how he had to adjust himself in a world that he had been away from for 5 years, John Ottman's score, the amazing visuals, and the overall atmosphere were among the things I loved about the movie.

:super:

Lol

I enjoyed Batman Begins the most, but I think X2 is the most deserving of the three.

Edit: No. Begins.

Anyone with half decent taste will tell you those are the top three movies people are going to pick.

Don't worry, the "others" option is for those who have no taste.
Yes, Batman Begins, Spider-man 2, and X2 were the only enjoyable comic book films :whatever:

I understand if people do like those films, I love them all but Spider-man 1 is the best imo.
Unlike SM2 there wasn't too much romance and the orgin story was the best comic book movie orgin story ever...maybe only behind Superman

I chose BB in the order:
Batman Begins
Spider-Man 2
X2

holmes really makes that movie.

well how was ff2. Does it deserve a spot besides the first or is it worthy of x3 status?

FF2 is almost as good as the first Spider-Man...

I didn't say they were the only enjoyable ones. I said they were unobjectivley considered to be the best by almost everyone.

Notice how "other" only has 7% of the vote? Clearly most people agree.

Personally I liked Superman Returns better than X2 or Spider-Man 2, but the poll is based on what are widely considered to be the best three superhero movies. The fact that "other" is getting totally crushed shows most people agree.

The Spider-man movies are the only ones that stayed faithful to the true spirit and look of the character and book. The Burton Batman movies are right up there as well. Batman being the one that paved the way for these comics to be made, but a shame when realism and lazy no imagination filmmakers ruin them.

Burton's movies aren't anywhere near as faithful to the spirit of Batman as Begins.

It technically started with Blade, but it is widely considered to jump off once X-Men (2000) was a success.

Yeah, it started with Blade but he never seems to get the respect he deserves....because he's a brutha.:o

Well, Batman kills people in Burton's movies. That's the most obvious and glaring thing that goes against the spirit of Batman.

Burton's Batman is based on the original Bob Kane stories.

In those stories, Batman kills people. In the first ever Batman story, he even punches a guy into a vat of acid.

Bob Kane's Batman kills, Tim Burton's Batman kills.

batman begins.
i would say batman 1 or 2 i just didnt like burton goth thing going on wit it.

I'd definately give a shout out to blade, it started the ball rolling of the modern comic book films, and is still much better than almost all of them.

^^^

That's actually the matter of opinion. What makes Indiana Jones the best franchise for me? It's the only way how to feel myself a kid. It's the best one for me and nothing will change my mind, even the Temple of Doom, which actually wasn't as bad as many here say.
