Yeah the pilot for Seinfeld was pretty crappy. There is a reason they aired the pilot in the summer of 1989 and then didn't bring the show back for only 4 episodes in summer of 1990, and then with the Elaine character.

Lost - Simply amazing pilot, had me hooked within a minute or two
Alias - Again, great pilot, JJ Abrams does some great stuff
24 - Set Jack's first really bad day up perfectly, plus gotta give Fox it's due, for showing a pilot that featured an airplane blowing up so soon after 9/11
Supernatural - Thought this show would be silly WB crap, boy was I wrong, great pilot
Veronica Mars - Totally desconstructed every teen melodrama cliche within the first episode and was much better for it.
Arrested Development - Simply hilarious

1. Lois and Clark

The pilot episode was like the Superman movie I had been waiting for. I pretty much consider it the movie of new era. No offense to SR meant.



2. Lost

Again for a tv series, felt like quite an epic opening. The crash was intense and right away I was pulled in.



3. Journeyman

Wow, within 15 minutes I was hooked on this show because the pilot clued me in on just how different it would be.




4. Now and Again

Definitely one of my all time fav pilot episodes. Anyone who missed this show really missed out.

X-Men had such a great pilot episode. It really disappointed me when the none of the films had that kind of action. I would've loved to see all of the X-Men fighting a Sentinel.

I think Lost is the best of the bunch. Awesome awesome pilot!

Eh...Battlestar Galatactica didnt have a great pilot...the show grew on me as the next few episodes aired.

I think Seinfeld's pilot is good, but not that good. The rest of the show on the other hand...magnificant!!!

I think Heroes had a great Pilot. Since the pilot however, it has been in slow flush mode.
