Didn't find another thread for this, so I thought I would go ahead and make one up myself.

Basically, what do you consider to be some of the best trailers ever made? Which trailers do you think set the standard for other trailers?

I'll start off with the original Alien teaser, which, in my opinion, is still probably the best and most well put together trailer of all time. It's short, it's scares the **** out of you, it doesn't show too much to give anything away, but it grabs your attention, leaving you wonder what the **** is going on:

Love everything about the BB trailer especially Bale's narration. I got goosebumps the first time I saw it.

I would say

TDK Trailer #2.

Everything from the pacing, to the dialouge used, the music. Everything. I remember seeing that trailer and being blown away in every regard.

LOTR: Fellowship of The Ring

Loved this trailer, the music, and the epic shots, I knew when I saw that trailer, that PJ had brought my favorite books to life.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Teaser Trailer)

I loved this one, showing the T-800 being built, and Arnold slowly flexing. It always gave me shivers to what a Skynet factory looked like. Sadly...TS did a terrible job. But I still have that teaser to wonder of a Cameron created Skynet factory.

Both of those gave each movie a very epic and grand scale feeling.


Non-Comic Book

The Departed - Perfect music for the whole thing. It gave you a good idea of the plot, showed some of the dramatic scenes as well as the subtle humor it had.

Terminator Salvation - That trailer was definitely viewed alot by me. And I had to download that song. It's one of those trailers that just stick with you long after you watch it. Regardless of how bad the movie was.

Man when I saw the Batman Begins and Superman returns teaser trailers I was jumping up and down in my seat fo all the excitement,sure SR was kind of a letdown but i enjoyed it anyways, and Batman begins was worth all the wait, my reaction when seeing the joker card at the end:

the twin towers spiderman trailer was great, i think that scene in the trailer was going to be the big reveal of spiderman, we just cut to a montage in the final cut, but i think this happened before the montage.
