Best video game movie reboot 2021

After the success of Sonic last year, we were all hoping the tide had turned for video game movies and we would start getting some good ones. We had 2 reboots of what are classic games this year in Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil. So I am just wondering what people thought was the best one.

For me personally, I vote Resident Evil. It shouldn't have combined the first 2 games and made some silly changes. But nothing in it was as bad as Cole Young or an MK movie not having a tournament IMO.

RE, easily. MK was a hot mess.

Next year should turn things around. Once we get past Uncharted, we'll have Sonic 2 and The Last of Us show to look forward to.

We also have Borderlands next year which after finally starting one of the games I think could be a good little movie under Roth.

This is coming to Netflix UK soon, plan on watching it then, though I have never played the game/s.
