Beware the Batman

I'm personally realy excited each week and while i'm not exactly let down still im not fully satisfied. The creators are trying their best with a minimal budget. The CGI animation while better than most CGI animations its lacking detail and crowd, seriously i haven't seen a single Gothamite. Who the hell is Batman protecting ? the buildings ?

The way they did Alfred is really interesting and i want to see more. Batman is uninteresting to say the least. Katana is my favourite so far.

Love the villains. Anarky was done great and i am super excited for Lady Shiva.

I hope they throw a couple more thousand dollars at them, they do deserve it. I'm gonna go as far to say its the best Batman show since Batman Beyond. In the latest episode i guess we entered a story arc and i like that, give the show a bigger plot to follow.

Is that Ron Perlman as Tobias Whale?

"Safe" was a great episode. As a big fan of the League of Assassins, I was really looking forward to their appearance here, and they did not disappoint.

Silver Monkey was pretty cool. His constant use of hidden weapons was pretty cool, and he's definitely got a hidden agenda, seeing how he didn't tell Lady Shiva that Tatsu had the Soultaker Sword. Seeing that unfold should be pretty sweet. James Remar, no stranger to the Bat-universe sounded pretty cool as him.

Speaking of Lady Shiva, Finola Hughes sounded pretty cool as her, and I can't wait for her to inevitably step out of the shadows. Also can't wait for Ra's al Ghul's appearance, too.

Tatsu continues to be a fascinating character. I loved seeing more bits of her past, and hopefully more pieces will be revealed later on. What is the deal with that Soultaker Sword, anyway?

Jason Burr was pretty funny, and his constant flirting attempts with Tatsu were pretty cute, if not a little corny. Matthew Lillard was perfect casting as him.

Though I didn't care for the laser shotgun, Alfred driving Silver Monkey off was pretty sweet.

Again, great episode, possibly my favorite so far.

A SDCC write-up

There aren’t any plans for Robin at the moment, but there will be other heroes. “But not the ones you might think,” said Watson. There are no plans for Catman, either. While Hush was discussed, they ultimately went with another character who has similarities to Hush. Nocturna is “not off the table” according to Watson.

It would be cool seeing Nocturna.

I'm also wondering who will be the character similar to Hush.

Caught an episode this past Saturday. Really wasn't sure I'd like it, but it was pretty cool. I like being surprised. Will be checking it out again.

Is that doctor guy a recurring character?

Not as of yet. That was his first appearence.

Wouldn't disappoint me if we never saw him again. He was so annoying I was sure he was going to be something more sinister and conniving than at face value. Turns out he was just a really annoying character with no depth.

One of my favorite Aquaman stories is a Brave&Bold story where Aquaman, Green Lantern and Batman go all black ops and invade a Kobra controlled nation, so i'd really would love to see the Kobra cult. :b

So basically, it was an episode of G. I. Joe.

Did anyone shout KOBRA!!!?

I'm a little late reviewing 'Safe'...

I have to say, I am loving this show. Just about everything is rubbing me the right way and after a somewhat mediocre third installment, things get back on track.

The story was fun, fast-paced and illuminating. Batman kicked some ninja butt, Katana's backstory is coming to the fore and it sounds fascinating. Plus Alfred's reverting to type a little bit, which is nice. Dr Burr was pretty good comic relief and didn't really bother me as he did others. I'd even welcome him as a recurring character.

The animation still looks great... very, very smooth. But the background have reverted to type. They are just too empty. Gotham City lacks vibrancy and life... and that is nothing short of crime!!

All in all, great stuff... I'm excited to see where it goes.

4/5

So "Broken" was an interesting episode.

Love the dynamic between Gordon and Batman. Learning more about the "Soultaker" was good and we now know that Ra's al Ghul is in the world!

Humpty Dumpty was dang creepy, especially in the scene where he kidnapped Gordon. Anybody else get chills?

I love that this show really proved everyone wrong.

Really awesome so far.

The music continues to be so superb, hope they get a soundtrack out.
