BEWARE: "X-Men Revealed" Wal-mart DVD Is Bogus!

Ok, so what do i do? I have the 2disc special, and i only want the 21 deleted scenes. Go to walmart, and get which one????
You might as well pick one at random, that's how the deleted scenes are distributed.

Wow. So the disc doesn't have what it says it has?

Is Fox on drugs?

So...originally the DVD was going to have 21 deleted scenes, then they changed it to 10, but the other version shipped anyway?

Then the Walmart DVD was advertised with bonus features, and they switched it with something else.

Why am I getting the feeling that this DVD release started out as certain edition, and they just changed it and didn't bother to change the advertising.

Which is crap, btw...where I work, if we preview something with only a date that's incorrect, we change it. If we change a promo, we change our sales material. Someone at Fox got lazy with the marketing material here, if that's the case.

I wonder if there's a way to complain enough about the Walmart screw up to get something back on it, if the fans get loud enough about it. And I wonder if Walmart knew (or cared) what they got wasn't what they advertised.

thanks for the heads up LS... I was contemplating buying this.

Can someone please post the inside cover art for the x-men special edition dvd - the picure with all the x-men and evil mutants together - i heard it's the best picture ever - or at least tell me what thread it was posted earlier on and on what page - i 've been searching forever trying to find it - thanks alot I'd appriciate it :)

What a complete and utter mess. I feel sorry for you folks in the states. If Fox had released the 2-disc there then this could have been avoided.:csad:

It would not surprised me if some form of rushing caused this mix-up in the deleted scenes and extra features. Up until recently dvd sites and magazines were only given a screener by the studio to review.

Fox and Wal-mart seriously need to consider issuing some form of press release about this cause they're doing more harm than good right now.

Question for those who have the Walmart bonus disc; Does it feature any interviews with Mark Millar? (I'm not going to buy it, just curious)

I bought the collector's edition off of amazon and I only have 10 deleted scenes. I'm really pissed now! :cmad: I'm not able to return/exchange it. We in the U.S. get screwed on behind the scenes stuff and on some discs only having 10 out of the 21 deleted scenes (I knew stuff was missing), and of course this Wal-Mart fiasco! Screw Fox and screw Brett Ratner!!! If the "Special Edition" is able to be out in other countries, why not here? Why are we made to wait until who knows when to get our "Special Edition"? That makes zero sense. Then again, there was a lot of stuff about this movie that made zero sense. I say they make an X-men 3 Redux with Singer as director and make it the way it should have been!

i just got my Walmart special edition in the mail and it has all 21 scenes....and it was free!!!! oh Happy day!

Yeah I seem to remember Mark being on there.

If anyone wants to send on that X-Men Revealed disc to me, I'd gladly absorb it into my collection!

"I consider the entire debacle that is X3 to be a valuable lesson in disillusionment."

Depending on whos involved! FOX is and has been my least favorite studio for awhile now. I agree the place seems to be run by jackals and idiots.

But dont give up hope - theres Spiderman 3,Dark Knight and Iron Man coming from people who care.

You're kidding me. :csad:

Damn, this is jacked up on so many levels.

So does ANYONE have the real 50 minute BTS footage from Wal-Mart? Or must we chalk it up to Myth and Legend? :whatever:

Its hard keeping track of all these tragic dvd stories from the states and not feel some sort of anger. Is anyone planning on suing? I know people have gone to court for less.:p :cwink:

Oh btw i think a1ant has the dvd without the comics thingie. Not 100% sure so don't qoute me on that.

BREAKING NEWS!

Apparently the studio is aware of the problem and a customer service hotline has been established. You will be required to give them your phone number and home address. You will also be asked to describe the nature of your problem (obviously only for those who have purchased DVDs from Wal-Mart). I have personally called and can verify this. At this time they are taking down records as a decision has not been reached regarding compensating customers.

NOTE: If you haven't saved your receipt from your purchase however, don't even bother calling.

The contact information is as follows:

I just got the Single Edition from Target & my DVD has all Scenes :woot:

hmm, so now I'm starting to think that these dvds might be worth something in the future. I might buy the walmart one afterall.
