Hi everybody, I was looking around on marvel.com and I saw this Beyond title with Spidey and Venom and a bunch of c too d list characters who enter into some kind of secret war like event. So what I'm wondering is has anyone read this, and is it any good? I'm a big spidey fan and this has caught my attention but also looks like it could suck, so if anyone knows anything thanks for the info.:spidey:

Hail SPIDEY!

if your buyin it just for spidey, then youll prob not enjoy the last few pages. overall i thought it was ok, not the best by far, but not the worst story ive read. maybe 4-6 out of 10.

you should try to pick up the collected version of the original Secret Wars with spider-man and the beyonder in it. it's referenced in the first issue of beyond! and well worth a read. it's old school story telling with the modern day "event" twist. good stuff :up:it's from 1984, was the first real big inter-character crossover event and was the origin of the black spider-man costume (soon to be seen in spider-man 3). if they dont still print the collected series then i'm sure there'll be one on e-bay.

to answer your question, yes i enjoyed beyond! and picked it up looking for something new with spider-man in it. it doesnt show him at his most powerful best and it mainly focuses on gravity but i really enjoyed it and now plan on skipping the rest of the series and picking up the trade instead.
