I didn't twist your words. You said

What was your problem then? That he didn't laugh, or that that he didn't smile enough? Because those were your two complaints there.
You clearly have some major problems getting my point, I'm saying that it annoyed me that he didn't laugh or atleast smile enough, thus meaning I would've liked him to laugh more, or at the very least smile more.

And it wasn't two complaints, otherwise I would've listed them under two separate points.

Yea this Joker isn't supposed to be all happy and laughing all the time. What do you want a Cesar Romero laugh-a-thon?

I'm not dissing Cesar's Joker I'm just saying I don't think his style would be right in this movie........suprisingly!! hahahaha

No, you have major problems expressing your point.

I'm saying that it annoyed me that he didn't laugh or atleast smile enough, thus meaning I would've liked him to laugh more, or at the very least smile more.

Then you say: I would have liked to him have laughed more, or at the very least smiled more. Not "Joker not laughing, or at least smiling enough". Because that is two seperate things. Not laughing, or not smiling enough.

And it wasn't two complaints, otherwise I would've listed them under two separate points.

Nonsense. Both complaints were under the heading of Joker's display of humour, so you put them in one sentence. When you use the word or, you're talking about two or more things.

My God! I hate to quote the grammar police but seriously, this is childish enough as it is. You get my point, so why not stop pursuing this silly correction mission of yours and actually counter my point with a relevant point. Which reminds me, I believe I have another I can add to my list:

10. I would've liked to see Bruce a bit more saddened. For a childhood friend Rachel's death didn't really sadden him.

:hehe: So you wanna see Bruce Wayne blubbing like Peter Parker? I could clearly see he was distraught there, his voice was all shaky and broken up, but you could see he was bottling it up and trying to not let his emotions get the better of him. This is a defining characteristic of Bruce, he is always brooding and bottling things up inside, thats what makes him a great character IMO.

Yeah because he wasn't crying and all...oh wait.

Maybe your right, theres no way to prove either way at this point though. i only suggested it because people were whining over how "unrealistic" it was that he just appeared out of no-where. even though for 70 years Batman appears and dissapears out of know-where.

I read the novel & even it offered no explanation.

Why is everyone saying that he appeared from the ceiling? He may have just appeared from underneath the floor right next to the Joker and Rachel. There was probably all sorts of secret passages in the building for Bruce to maneuver since we saw him enter one right after the Joker crashed the party and he (Bruce) left.

Agreed. There's a similar scene at the end of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm where he also loses the love of his life and Alfred comforts him. And in that scene, he shows even less emotion than Bale showed in TDK, but he's still obviously heartbroken.

And remember, folks.. sometimes less is more!

Check out the neck!! :wow: :hehe:

I love how everyone exaggerates my points to work against me. I was happy with his scene in the penthouse, he appeared very distraught while not showing a whole heap of emotion. I'm just saying later on in the film we really didn't see still haunted by Rachel's death, I would've liked a mention of Rachel later on that didn't come from Harvey, just to show that Bruce is still saddened at her loss but has not strayed from his path like Harvey.

I'm not exaggerating your point, i was just pointing out that he was clearly upset. And as for showing no sadness at the end? " How come i was the only one who lost everything?!?!" "You wasn't" Dont tell me you couldn't see absolute pain on batmans face there. The first time I see it I actually thought he was gonna come out and reveal he was Bruce there just to prove to Harvey he wasn't the only one.

I was waiting for that too, but that is something that has always bothered me about Batman Returns. He rips his mask off in front of both Catwoman and Max Shreck, knowing full well that Max would never keep it a secret or he would blackmail him with it somehow.
