Rape is horrific. There's NO way we who have not experienced could even begin to understand how it affects the thoughts and actions of victims. It's incredibly easy to say "they could have/should have done x, y, or z" but that's just not the way this works. One thing still doesn't add up. Even though Bill is a was a popular, well liked celeb, I still cant believe that none of the women (who are mostly white) wouldn't go to the police if they were raped. A black man in like the 70 and 80's getting away with raping lots of white women? I don't think it was possible . I know today it would be possible until the person paid them loads of money.

There is a belief in Buddhist Philosophy that the world as a whole is a single organic being to which we are all a part of. So by inflicting an act of cruelty and barbarism on someone else, you're actually committing an act of great self-mutilation.

Have you read any of the interviews? Do you have any idea what it's like for a woman who accuses someone of rape? Their past sexual history comes up, their drug use, how much alcohol they drank, what they were wearing, who they were with, if they were flirting, etc etc.
And that's what happens in today's society. Back then, it was even worse.
Cosby was a celebrity and these women would have been absolutely vilified in the media. I don't blame them for not wanting to be re-victimized.
This.

Look, some of those women could be telling the truth, but they can't seem to PROVE any of it. Yeah , I know statue of limitations but still.
They're not trying to prove anything. They're telling their stories.
I have no problem believing Cosby is a rapist. These women have nothing to gain by speaking out.
Of course that's the angle you'd approach. Someone else might point to the stigma and victim-culture still sadly attached to those who have been sexually assaulted and raped, the disruptive and traumatic impact on one's personal and professional life, and the reservoir of courage and strength needed to come forward.

This doesn't pertain to what Golgo is saying, though. There are women who have the gall to falsely accuse a man of rape for monetary gain or simply to see their lives destroyed. It's not impossible that some of these women are gold diggers. Now, we don't know one or way or the other, but it's important to be skeptical. A rape accusation alone, whether it's true or not, can seriously damage a person's reputation. We should approach every case with caution.
In this case, it's beyond a reasonable doubt that something happened with Cosby, that's not a big stretch. I don't think Golgo is advocating that Cosby should be completely absolved.
