Birds of Prey Birds of Prey General Discussion and Speculation

Well, if it hits Blu-ray/digital soon that means I'll get to re-watch the glorious police raid scene again.
It’s getting a digital release next week. Blu-ray might be a bit longer due to what’s going on.

‘Birds of Prey’ Will Be Released on VOD Early

Warner Bros. will release “Birds of Prey,” a spinoff of 2017’s “Suicide Squad,” for digital purchase on March 24, earlier than its anticipated release.

The film is expected to cost $19.99 on platforms such as Amazon and iTunes, and will be available for rental in April according to Fandango, which is partly owned by Warner Bros.

BoP is still releasing in Japan on 20th.

"Harley Quinn no karei naru kakusei" ("Harley Quinn's Great Awakening") ---> (this is the official title here in Japan) is just premiered here a few days ago...but I still havent seen it.

Yes, things starting to get normal again in Japan (many places are already re-open after almost a month closed) ...but I still havent decide whether want to watch it on theatre or waiting for Bluray..
I still have to be absolutely sure that the situation is safe before I can go to public places again. So, perhaps I just wait for the Bluray.

By the way, it's a shame for this movie's low box office though as I really love Margot's Harley Quinn.

$200m is a consolation at this point. Anything less than $500m for a major studio with a popular character is a massive disappointment.

$200 million is pretty good despite what’s been going on. Hoping digital media sales help it out though.

Watched this again last night. Enjoyed it even more the second time around.
I want to see it a second time but looks like no chance in a cinema. I wonder where it will release first in the U.K.. Sky/Netflix/Amazon Prime etc.

BoP has made $2.9 million so far in Japan, though some Theaters are now closing down due to COVID-19 fears.

The Worldwide Total should be at $202.05 mil at this point.

Preferred story for this would've been Harley to be more of a mcguffin and not, as far as I've seen/heard, the main character. Preferred casting, maintianing the structured amount of non whit actors in the movie.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Black Canary
Jane Levy as Oracle
Lorenza Izzo as Huntress
Tiffany Espensen as Batgirl
Gina Rodriguez as Renee Montoya
Sharlto Copley as Black Mask
Rupert Friend as Zsazz
