Shazam Black Adam spin off with The Rock

Yeah, I like Manganiello but unless they are doing the Katar version of Hawkman (and they aren’t) then they should find a person of color for the role. Actually, if Ricky Whittle isn’t cast as John Stewart, he’s make a great Carter/Khufu.

Saw someone else mention him elsewhere, but Zeeko Zaki would make for an awesome Hawkman. As for Hawkgirl, well I'd cast a Latina in the role, especially if they're going with Kendra.

Do we know for sure they aren't doing the Katar Hol version? Honest question.

I mean, they could, but given that Black Adam is an ancient Egyptian king, it just makes more sense for them to use the Khufu/Carter Hall version of Hawkman. It seems easier to tie him to Black Adam than to involve Thanagar and all that.

Alexander Dreymon from The Last Kingdom and American Horror Story: Coven would make a good Carter Hall Hawkman.

Ben Robson from Animal Kingdom and Vikings is my other choice for Carter Hall.

Rumor: Current ‘Black Adam’ Script Pulls Heavily From Comic “Black Adam: The Dark Age”

Adam Sztykiel completed a new draft of the ‘Black Adam’ script last month and The GWW is hearing that it will pull very heavily from Peter Tomasi and Doug Mahnke’s Black Adam: The Dark Age book.

The Dark Age follows Teth-Adam as he seeks to restore his lost powers and resurrect his deceased wife. This journey brings him into conflict with the Justice Society of America, specifically Hawkman, who is currently the main villain of the movie. That Hashtag Show first reported that Hawkman and Black Adam will face off in the movie. They were also the first to report that Justice Society members Stargirl and Atom Smasher would be in the movie as well.

Dwayne Johnson is starring in the pic with production slated to begin in March. A director search is ongoing and no release date has been set.

Hawkman :mrk::mrk: im weak lanslvnsasvl, take my money WB :tmm:

The Current Position of The DC Cinematic Universe

Now for this next part, this is currently just a rumor so take this with a grain of salt but I’ve heard that with the current script of ‘Black Adam’, if the film is recieved well, this may pave the way for both a ‘Justice Society of America film’ and a ‘Hawkman and Hawkgirl’ film. ‘Hawkman and Hawkgirl’ is a film that has been up and down in early development so it is not surprising that the film may finally be receiving the push from ‘Black Adam’.

OMG, I would die if i Hawkman Hawkgirl movie happens

I wonder who'll direct Black Adam? my money's on Brad Peyton who collaborates with Dwayne on San Andreas and Rampage or Rawson Marshall Thurber.

It's cool that the Justice Society will appear but I wonder if they'll explain why aren't referenced in the present

I wouldn’t be surprised if Black Adam is treated like Kong Skull Island or Annabelle where it’s connected to Shazam but you don’t need to watch Shazam to enjoy it.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl could be awesome. I would love for that to get a shot.

After seeeing Shazam now, let’s get Black Adam sorted asap and ready for the Shazam sequel!

Black Adam should've been the villain. And here we in 2019 with no Black Adam movie starring The Rock in sight. A movie that's been talked about for like close to 10 years.

I like Mark Strong, but I thought his Dr. Sivana was a little on the bland side. He had a cool, tragic backstory but not much else. I think he could've used a bit more of that comic book/Brave and the Bold style.

I wonder what The Rock is thinking right now if he sees the film.

I mean his production company worked on the film. His ex-wife had a producer credit. So, he was definitely aware of it and had some level of involvement. But the dude's just constantly working on a dozen projects at a time.

They avoided Black Adam to accommodate this ridiculous idea that there needs to be a Black Adam movie starring him. I don't understand why.

Just make the second movie Shazam vs. Black Adam.

Oh I didn’t know about either of those. I want to see a Shazam sequel with The Rock as Black Adam sorted out as soon as possible. Hopefully that can fit into The Rock’s crazy schedule.

I would say do him in Shazam sequel first. See if it works then maybe give him his own spinoff.

I want a Shazam sequel first for sure. And he could be a big boost for that.

I would have liked to have seen more of Sivana as a scientist in this film.
He had some pretty wild gadgets in the comics.

Yeah I agree with Vile; I don’t know why they want to do a Black Adam movie before having him in a Shazam film. It seems to me like the more natural progression would be to use him as an antagonist first and then make a spin-off with Adam trying to redeem himself.

This is slated to being in March? As in 2020?

Pretty sure the author stated the film is set to start production in March 2020 and is searching for director now since the script is done, if that's true it should be ready after SS2 as the last DC film of 2021.
