The Dark Knight Black Mask or Zsasz in TDK ?

I dunno.. I haven't seen Imperioli in much else than the Sopranos.

Can he pull off a big budget performance?

It's not that I can't "see" him in different roles, I just haven't seen him in much else.

Excuse my ignorance, i even googled, but can someone give me a run down of who Roman Sionas/the Black Mask is?

Copy Cat!

Your lucky your a Dawg or I would make you squeal like a piggy :cmad:

Mine had a catchy title. So, technically, I should make you squeal like a piggy.

And, technincaly, I have rights on the name Stormin, birthright in all. :o

I would like to see Billy Zane as Black mask.

How about Hugh Jackman or Eric Bana for Black Mask? Though problems are that they've already played comic characters. I do digress.

Dougray Scott?
Rufus Sewell?
Colin Firth?

Taken from Black Mask's wiki:

"He inherited the family fortune, as well as the family's business. But he wasn't good with business and he began squandering his money, running the firm into the ground with a line of face-paint make-up. Desperate, he offered a large sum of money to the chemists on-staff to create a revolutionary product to save the company. One chemist came up with a water-proof make-up product, but needed desperately to test the product before he could authorize its use. When Sionis learned of it, he rushed the product out to market without any sort of testing for possible harmful side-effects. This would cost him dearly."

A way to give Joker an origin perhaps?

Interesting.

But I do not want, or think, The Joker becomes phsyically, and mentally scared from make-up.

Nah, it'd just be the chemicals. IIRC, Janus made face paints as well. They could just say the chemicals used for those were toxic instead of the make-up storyline and Joker fell into an entire vat of it during a bungled robbery.

You're suppose to be on my side at all times, woman!

i was just speculating...but could be more than a coincidence

It's good speculations/ideas on both you guys parts.

The chemical vat in Sionis' lab is very possible.

I think the addition of Sinois/Black Mask would be great however there is no indication that the character will be added or that there is even room for him.

If not, I would wait and use this character in the 4th movie along with Selina Kyle as long as they don't have a Catwoman/Black Mask team up. Have it where Black Mask comes after both Wayne and Catwoman.

Its pretty much expected that Nolan will not be returning after the 3rd movie but if he can be retained as Producer and then handpick a Director, Nolan can hand him this premise for the 4th movie.

Black Mask would be great in TDK for the mere fact that he's the coolest new Villian for Batman in the past 20 years (yeah I'm NOT talking about you BANE or HUSH!)

We're guaranteed a new mobster in TDK and in terms of carrying over to movie3 Sionis has more potential than Maroni as a character. I've always thought chances are pretty good for Sionis in this film.

With this news of A "New name", Jett's apparent clues and Wahlberg seemingly out of the running for any role in TDK, I'm starting to think that maybe it could be DiCaprio they are considering for Sionis.

I just think there is no coincidence that Black Mask has been linked to this sequel for about 2 years. It doesn't go away. The Penguin rumour died after a Nolan interview.

The stuff I spoke about in the earlier post makes me think that they could go with a perminant face paint origin for The Joker. Sionis could torture him by giving him a perma clown face with the water resistant make up. I'm not claiming this is an amazing idea for an origin but if they wanted to do a NEW origin that differs from the comics, I don't see why it's such a bad idea. Falling into a vat of chemicals and coming out looking like a clown isn't exactly "realistic", nor is it original anymore. I'm sure Nolan must have considered concepts for a Joker origin, even if he doesn't actually get one.

^ I think it's cool you can consider an alternate approach....

but, no. Not a chance.

I like the idea of Sionis factory somehow involved though. Especially if Joker is working for Sionis and it's more sabotage than 'accident'.

The only way I see Sionis and his factory used successfully if it is applied to the plot outline theory we got a while back, where Falcone double crosses the pre-joker Joker and disposes his "dead" body in chemicals(*sigh* I'm still hoping some of that story was true). Then I can see it working, with Sionis being an associate of Falcone's, letting Falcone use his company as a front while the gangster pays off Roman's considerable debt. With Falcone gone, I could see him finally asking Bruce to bail him out. From there it could go either way, with Bruce bailing him out or not("not" being the quicker way to crime).

Either way, he becomes target for The Joker's revenge.

I love that scenario.

Instead of rushing the product out before testing, why not use the pre Joker as a guinea pig....and watch it all go horribly wrong.
