The Dark Knight Black Mask or Zsasz in TDK ?

Ugh... David Boreanaz would have made a dreadful Batman. Luckily, Nolan has more sense than that.

And I think literally everything Whedon touches is overrated. That's right... I said it.

I honestly dislike every live action thing Whedon has done. It's only his comics I've ever enjoyed.

It's nice not being the only one here who is "meh" towards Whedon. :ninja:

Boreanaz would be alright as Dick Tracy if that proposed live action television series ever gets off the ground, but as far as Boreanaz ever being Batman? No.

There should be no debate. Dude rocks.

Julian Sands, aka: Eastern European Russian separatist terrorist billionaire, Vladimir Bierko from 24 last season. He's a British actor too, so it'd fit in with Nolan picking british actors to play non british characters.

I will mention Goran Visjnic from ER. He is filming his last eps for the show soon. I also admit Im no Joss Whedon fan and happy he's not doing Wonder Woman. He writes women so ****ty.

I like Sarsgaard...in certain roles, modest roles. Like the stoner buddy in Garden State or the editor under fire in Shattered Glass. I didn't find him a believable villain in Flightplan. Or The Skeleton Key. (I won't apologize for spoiling either of those for anyone. If you wanted to see them, you would've already. But don't see Skeleton Key, anyway. It sucks.)

Anyways...yeah. I just can't see him as a true "comic villain" the likes of Black Mask.

isnt' peter sargaard one of the most underrated actors working in Hollywood today.

I swear, my friends know him but not his name..that's sad.

He's definitely very good. I just can't see him as Sionis, or even Harvey (who he was touted for a lot around here).

Riddler, if anyone. Maybe. He's got kind of a soft tone to his voice; I can see him as an obsessive-compulsive, sort of introverted Riddler.

God, I LOVED early Buffy. Seasons 2 and 3 were fantastic. And the same with Angel, from season 2 through till halfway through season 4 rocked.

Whedon rocks!

He should just play every role for you... Dent... Black Mask... Riddler... whtas up with the infatuation u got with this guy

I think he's an awesome and underrated actor and I'd like to see him in a Bat-film. He'd fit in with the kind of cast Nolan is building. He's versatile to boot. I personally think he could handle all those roles, and really, be great in them.

I was just about to post the exact same pic.

and WTF FatTonie also beat me to my second point. Saarsgard could play Black Mask, the Riddler even the Penguin or goddamn Firefly for all I care. He actually is suited to each of them.

yeah he's good at playing quiet roles but I can definitely see him as a big, loud , nasty 'comic book villain' as well. Check his face there ^ he's f_ckin intense.

Jett also mentions Penguin, but we've known from pretty much all the sources/sites that Penguin's been shot down. If this turns out to be true, I'll be pretty pissed that we wont get to see a character a like Black Mask in a Batman film, but on the other hand, seeing Victor Zsasz again would be pretty exciting, so I'm divided on happiness and saddness right now.

Either way, we're getting a character who hasn't been done on film before, so it's kinda nice.

Besides, Zsasz is easy to throw in there without dedicated a subplot to him. Black Mask would require a bit of screen time, whereas Zsasz works fine as pretty much a cameo.

Still disappointed about Penguin though. Would've been great to see him as an arms dealer. Maybe the third movie, then...

Maybe the Penguin will be a better fit in #3. TDK will deal with the Joker, basically, leading the freaks into a big war with the mob and cops. they end up taking out the mob and being the key players in Gotham city. #3 Joker is locked up (he always escapes though, right?) and you have Penguin and some others, with Dent/Two-Face playing both sides (cops and freaks) in a way.

Between Joker and Two-Face we've got our share of gruesome villains, and with Falcone and Maroni we've got enough gangsters. Dent is already the bridge between freaks and mobsters we need. Not fussed on Black Mask.

On Penguin honestly I was baffled whenever it was suggested he wouldn't be in. The gentleman crook with all the connections seems perfect for this type approach....

but now we know why he isn't possible.....TDK is too damn BUSY for the Penguin! So that I don't mind :yay:

Ahhh well, it would of been nice to have The Penguin in a small role in this film then an expanded one in the next.
