Black Superman's Return

cool! i especially like trapjaw. he was always one of my favourites from the (original) TV show, and the later redesigns have been pretty cool. can't wait to see what your mate makes of it, colour-wise. one thing i'm not COMPLETELY sure about is the intersection between trapjaw's shoulder and evil lynn's face...?

Thanks man. The merge between trapjaw and Evil Lynn was just a way for me to not completely cover Evil-lyn's face. She more than anyone else basically got melded. If you notice her right eye and brow merges w/ Skeletor's jaw.

The only problem I have with it is the guys arm going through that chicks face.

A cover pic I'm working on. I stole the idea from Marc Silvestri's cover from "X-men Messiah Complex". A co-worker of mine wants to give it a go and color it, so I'll post it when he's done.

Better and Better

I'll be looking for your name on a comic soon

I think my co-worker's flaked out on me. I don't think he's planning on coloring the Skeletor cover anymore. He's on vacation right now, but right before he left he showed me what he did. He basically took some gray prisim markers and provided shading to it. It got me thinking on how the whole comic would look in Black & white.

I'm just re-evaluating my approach in coloring in general. Thoughts?

P.S. * Syncos, I changed the profile on the 2nd page 3rd panel pic like you suggested, Let me know what ya think *

I'm really trying to work on my camera angles. This is a perspective I haven't tried b4.

Her hair looks fine. The problem with the face is an obvious perspective issue. That angle would be a ***** for anyone. Not to mention i'm sure it's an issue being hit in the face with those basketballs in her chest, too :D

As for an actual critique:
Your environment is good, as always. Maybe a little bland. But how much can you do with a baron landscape?

Your line work is less liney again. Which looks stellar.

Very solid piece.

my problem with the hair is that it A) looks like a torch B) is way tooo dense and C) its too long, it'd come past her ass if she stood still D) doesn't exactly flow like real hair... hair is always interesting to learn how to do though

LOL, thanks Syncos. The "basketballs" weren't intential:o It was a wierd perspective thing I guess. Thundarr didn't really have a lot of variety to it's backgrounds so I guess it does seem bland.

LOL, you might be right about the hair. I used an old George Perez reference for the flow of the hair. I think it was Starfire too. I'll tweak it.

As far as B) is concerned She-Ra's hair was always ridiculously long .

You actually got the anquish/ upset look I was going for. The problem is that I need her looking down a more so that she's looking more in the girls direction.

LOL, For some reason now her breast look even more abnormally large.:woot:

I think that part of the problem might be the extreme distance between the characters. Having them so far in the background somewhat deminishes the immediacy of the situation. Reducing this might also solve your problem of needing to have her look so far down.

By the by, is she going to get kicked in the face too?:wow:

I disagree wholeheartedly

I think it looks anatomically correct but does not show the angle BS2 was going for
