the whole vibe from the new characters seemed cheap to me, sadly.
Bishop looks fine, (closest to comics), but the rest look from a B-list movie. or something from a Comic Con.
I expected more level, on such an important and expensive movie, and with Singer involved.
I'm okay with the way Blink looks, though it's hard to tell how pink her skin will be in the light/daylight.
I've seen some online reaction from those who really love the comic book character - and several are disappointed that she is now Chinese. I didn't think Blink was that important a character in the books for that to be an issue, but it is for some.
I really like her. She was the first thing that caught my attention.
What is Blink's nationality in the comics again, I forget? We have Colossus and Pyro being played by American actors, Wolverine by an Australian actor, and Xavier/Magneto by British actors. I don't see why Blink being Asian is that big a deal. If being a certain nationality was an essential part of her character, like Black Panther for instance, then yeah don't change it. But that isn't really the case, so it doesn't bother me. Plus, Blink has one of my favorite X-Men character designs, so seeing it in live-action is just cool.
So I wasn't the only one reminded of Night Wolf from Mortal Kombat Annihilation.Blink was the stand out new character in the trailer, to me at least. Bishop second and Sunspot third. Not digging Warpath...not yet anyways, I hope that changes...the appearance reminded me a little too much of Nightwolf from Mortal Kombat Annihilation...shudders.
That's also many Chinese's feelingNothing about what I've seen feels or looks cheap to me.
She's American; She was from Florida in the main comics. In AOA, she was born in Barbados, but raised in America. Pretty sure she is Caucasian also.
Ive read the Mortal Kombat vibe quite a few times on different sites
so this supports the cheap feeling of the new mutants, sadly
