Blink isn't really, near as I can tell, a main character in this storyline. Why would her makeup be on the same level of detail as Nightcrawler and Mystique's? Azazel's wasn't either.

the whole vibe from the new characters seemed cheap to me, sadly.

Bishop looks fine, (closest to comics), but the rest look from a B-list movie. or something from a Comic Con.

I expected more level, on such an important and expensive movie, and with Singer involved.

Personally I thought Blink looked really cool, I agree about the others though. My friends and family both mentioned the cosplay Comic con vibe as well. Not a fan of the costumes from what we have seen.

Funny, as I think Fan Bing Bing being Chinese makes her look more like the manga inspired Joe Madureira character come to life than simply casting a white girl.

I think the fact she is looking different to other is great to show progression in mutants, I also think being Asian is great to help represent different people around the world. I love Blink and can't wait to see her light up the big screen

Yeah, same here. There are a lot of characters in the trailer, but Blink really stood out.

Everybody looks so sad and that quick shot where she reaches out her hand seems to be a very desperate moment.

What is Blink's nationality in the comics again, I forget? We have Colossus and Pyro being played by American actors, Wolverine by an Australian actor, and Xavier/Magneto by British actors. I don't see why Blink being Asian is that big a deal. If being a certain nationality was an essential part of her character, like Black Panther for instance, then yeah don't change it. But that isn't really the case, so it doesn't bother me. Plus, Blink has one of my favorite X-Men character designs, so seeing it in live-action is just cool.

Her real name in the comics is Clarice Ferguson, so I'm thinking Scottish?

I really do like that they made her Asian.

Fox hire her only for increase the possiblity of release in China .Because Chinese government likes Chinese star have international influence.So if you hire a Chinese actor. You will jave more chance in market .You can also be allowed do advertising or propaganda in China.Media may also report.
In fact many Chinese audiences don't like local stars .They think they are stupid ,uneducated,and with no temperament,they get hot only because they have relationship with powerful people.Many Chinese audiences prefer western(including Japan) actors (though they don't know many western stars)

Blink was the stand out new character in the trailer, to me at least. Bishop second and Sunspot third. Not digging Warpath...not yet anyways, I hope that changes...the appearance reminded me a little too much of Nightwolf from Mortal Kombat Annihilation...shudders.

So I wasn't the only one reminded of Night Wolf from Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

Mortal Kombat vibe is fine to me! Especially I like how the characters of Mortal Kombat look like and the action is just insane, its amazing! t:

Imagine if X-Men had action scenes like the Mortal Kombat games, I'm pretty sure a lot of people will eat that up and praise X-Men for the action.

I think people going to the "Mortal Kombat" place, which is not a good thing after their second movie, is a bit overreacting. The only one I could maybe understand that with is Warpath, since his has the neon coloring and a shiny quality to it. Blink and Bishop's costumes appear very muted in their color and finishes. Sunspots looks to have a slight shiny quality to it, but not as bad as Warpaths. But we still need to just wait and see more of them in the film before we just write them off. With what they've presented with all the characters in the future, they look fine.

The color palette of the trailer also affects how the costumes look. They'll probably look somewhat different depending on the lighting.
