OK, I’m going to let loose with a bit of the Dent scuttlebutt I’ve been hearing. I’ve done some checking -- asked some friends and colleagues check as well -- so here goes. I’ve heard three names -- let’s say “more than once” -- and here they are: Eion Bailey, Edward Norton, and Jamie Foxx.

Bailey’s name came up last fall from a couple of people and then again this past week. With Bailey, you could have a “Cillian Murphy” situation. Bailey, like Murphy, tested for the part of Batman/Bruce Wayne. IF Bailey is up for Dent, perhaps Nolan liked what he saw in the actor back in ‘04 and brought him in for a Dent look-see.

As far as Norton is concerned, a friend and colleague of mine checked into this rumor and was told by his reps that he’s not in the mix, not been offered anything, etc.

Alright, Jamie Foxx. Not a “conventional” choice for Dent per se, but he is an Oscar winner (for RAY). This would meet the “aiming high” talk that’s been going around, IMO.

Hmmm. Out those three I would want either Bailey or Norton. If I had to guess who would be more than likely to get the part, it would be Bailey.

Norton would be awesome. Bailey, I've never really seen. And Foxx...well, I've never been a fan. You could even call me anti-Jamie Foxx.

I don´t like none of the choises.
Ok, i don´t know much of Bailey, so, let´s forget that one.
Norton, as much as i like him, i can´t picture him as Dent.
Fox is a stupid casting.
Fox is a great actor, bare that in mind, but to have him as because he won an oscar, is ridiculous to say the least, and i don´t see Nolan being stupid.

Norton probably would be good. Same with Bailey. Foxx isn't Dent.

Norton is awesome and I would love for him to get the part, I think he could pull it off. I've only seen Bailey in two movies and one was really bad, one really good, but he's a good actor.

Not Dent... they gotto do better than this... Norton is meh... I really ain't a fan of any of these choices... but Foxx is definitely the most capable... Norton is solid but nothing more

I could dig Bailey as he strikes me as someone who could easily pull off Dent's psychology. Foxx, while I keep and open mind, to a much lesser degree.

I dunno much about Bailey, so I don't really have an opinion of him.

I like Norton, but I personally don't see him as physically imposing (especially if he is up against Bale and even Ledger) as I would like Two-Face to be.

I'm not too excited for Jamie Foxx either. While I don't think he is a bad actor, I've never been too fond of him either (although I do hear he is very good in his new movie, so if I see that, maybe I'll change my mind)

fox would suck. bailey would be ight as would norton.

Would prefer Edward Norton as a Riddler choice but I guess I'd be somewhat 'ok' with him as Dent.

Jamie Foxx is a good actor but is not Dent and Bailey I don't know who the hell he is.

Foxx could work, he's proved people wrong before. I'll keep my mouth shut; Casino Royale showed me the light.

Of all 3 candidates I rather have Eion Bailey. I like Norton best but he seems to be digging the Indie flicks of late.

Ok, so scratch off Eion Bailey, Edward Norton, and Jamie Foxx as candidates for Dent since they appeared on Batman-On-Film.

Hmm. I did Bailey as a choice - he fits my idea of the role. Norton doesn't work for me. I just don't see him as particularly imposing. Jamie Foxx, though - interesting suggestion, and I think he could definitely pull it off. We'll see.

Personally I would not like Foxx to get the role....

But you have to admit he'd make ALOT of sense. Not only 'unconventional' but he's a proven himself as a quality actor and people seem to like him. Like DiCaprio or Pheonix he would bring a whole new audience to TDK. He would create a considerable buzz AND turn in a decent performance.

Still, I just don't like him, and I'm not sure why.

Eion Bailey was my first choice to play Superman back in the day! He is a good actor just watch him in Band of Brothers. He's got that dark seriousness in his eyes that matches harvey's intimidating glare and presence. Actually, out of all of these, he is the closest to being a clone of the way young Harvey Dent has been portrayed in comics in the last 15 years. Bailey is also a near-unknown whose career would skyrocket with this role, and everything I've seen him do suggested he's got a lot of potential (heck, he was also in one of my favorite films, Almost Famous, as Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner).

Didn't Jett swear up and down that this role has already been cast? So why are there 3 names being thrown around?

Out of these 3, I like Norton the best. Don't know anything about Bailey though, and I never did like Foxx for Dent.
