The Dark Knight Jett finally gives us something to talk about! (ie Harvey Dent)

Guy Peirce would be fine with me. Liked him in whatever I saw him in, although he isn't a big name. Which is what comic geeks USED to prefer. Funny how things change.

-Edward Norton, pansy. I don't care what he looked like in American History X, he still had that wimpy voice and weak jawline. Besides, in what other movie has he portrayed anything like Derek.

-Jaimie Foxx, would be yet another way to rip off B89 and come off as "original".

-The third candidate, don't know him, so I'm fine with him as well.

-Hugh Jackman, hell no!!! He's Wolverine. I'd rather have Norton and Foxx before Jackman. I loved Jackman, but c'mon.

In my opinion Norton is the best choice. When it comes to the facts anyway. If you've watched Primal Fear, you should realize that he can most definitely pull of somone who is psychologically ill. Then, in The Score, he clearly played an arrogant person (which most lawyers are). And just one more thing, I'd rather not hear that he's not physically up to par with Bale or Ledger.... C'MON, did ya' see the guy in American History X? Yeah... Enough said. Foxx is evidently only a choice because he's won an academy award. And to be honest, I'm not his biggest fan. Bailey could possibly pull it off, but he's not very well known. The thing to focus on here, is if Nolan would put pretty much a new-comer in this film supporting a serious role. I don't buy that, last time we had a cast of actors who were recognized. After hearing the news about Ledger as Joker, it looks as if Nolan's wants known faces. That's just my two cents.

i posted this in another topic but since here is where i heard is name being mentioned i posted it on here too. I think Edward Norton would make a fantastic Two-Face.

Looks more like "The Passion of the Norton" lol j/k

Good manip, but his skin needs to look more burnt and charred IMO.

That's a really good manip, realistic and right up Nolan's alley. I'd be cool with Norton as Dent.

I can maybe see Foxx as Dent....but not as two-face...he'd be a "bad" two-face...IMO at least...

^ How would he be good as dent, but a bad two-face? (I'm actually asking, not trying to be a smartass or anythign)

I could see any of these three as Dent.

Norton may not seem like the conventional choice but neither did Oldman when he was casted. Size wise it doesnt matter, he can grow and shrink like Bale. That is their super power.

Baily has the look i guess, can't really judge past that.

Foxx could do it, I honestly wouldn't have a problem with it at all if he the role.

Foxx can definitely play serious and charismatic (essential for Dent) but I suppose the question is, can he play completely insane (obviously, essential for Two Face)?

Personally, I'd go for Joaquin Phoenix. Or another name that I haven't seen mentioned around here -

Taye Diggs. He oozes intelligence and charm, and has the intensity necessary for Two-Face. Plus, he's already proven to have great antagonistic chemistry with Christian Bale in Equilibrium.

See, that's where I think I disagree with most people on this board I guess. Yes, Two-Face is insane, but I see him as being much easier to play than Harvey Dent. Harvey's the one tht is charismatic, but slowly fighting his own anger, not sure if he wants to bend the law to get the best results. Two-Face doesn't have that dilemma. All of his tough decisions are made for him with the simple flip of a coin. I've always felt that he was much more at ease with himself (at least when he gets over the whole "OMG my face" phase in the beginning) than Harvey is, and much easier to play.

I do agree that Taye Diggs would be an interesting choice. Now really my first choice, but one of those where I wouldn't be upset if he were cast (although I highly doubt he will be).

Good points. I guess it depends on how you write the character. Two-Face can actually be quite methodical and cold, with bursts of raging mania. While Harvey has been written both as having that boiling dark side (if you're going in that "Big Bad Harv" split-personality direction like BTAS) or simply being that idealic, crusading young attorney.

True, and that's the one thing about characters that have been written for as long as these ones: they're written differently quite often. It will be interesting to see which way Nolan decides to go with Dent, because both ways have proven to work incredibly well.

Actually, why I like Phoenix for the role is because he has that dark edge, yet there's something about him - idealistic; borderline naive. I can really see him as someone coming into this mess of a city and really believing he can change things. His fall from that, for me, is where the tragedy lies.

Oh No......I see Foxx overacting as Two Face and trying to steal scenes as Dent. If he is cast....I'll be disappointed....but oh well.

Here is what the plan would be if Foxx is cast as Dent most likely....

As Dent he would probably play the charismatic and charming workhorse Dent and would probably try to steal scenes or come off as way too arrogant. Then as Two Face he'll play the troubled Dent from his bad experiences during his child hood and be all gangsta and G'd up and be all hood ratted out. Predictable....and it would seem like Nolan is copying Burtons vision of Dent/Two Face. Booooooo

So important it had to be posted in 2 different threads.

I don't think so, Tim

We still don't have ONE name?

Anyway, my idea about Harvey is this:
-When he first starts out (beginning of TDK) he's a straight goodguy no doubt in his mind about cleaning up the city and rid it of the gangsters.
-He becomes a goodfriend of both Bruce Wayne and forms an ally with Gordon and Batman to bring down Joker.
-In the last act it's december (Christmas time) and Harvey drives of to his house, opens the door holding either a tree or presents) and sees Guilda being beat up by Joker. Batman swoops in (or either Dent does it) and beats the **** out of Joker but he still gets away.
-2 days later Dent has to present the Maroni case and in the courthouse. At the courthouse we hear his thoughs and doubts and before he enters the court he gets scared by either Maroni or his henchmen.
