The Dark Knight BOF have 1st pic of the Batman's costume for TDK (sorta...)

If they were hoaxes they'd probably look more different to BB, to provoke reactions. This would be a pretty lame hoax.

Definitely smaller ears and a different neck.

These could easily be fanmade props, though.

I really hope that's not the cowl for the new suit or for the one he's using in TDK(even if its the same design as in BB) those ears are too short. It says more mouseman or catman than batman .

Bats have short ears anyway. To me they looks way less silly than Forever's for instance. More like a predator in attack mode.

yeah in some of the comics, in hush for ex. and it looks good. But on film you know its not the same.

Has anyone ever drawn Batman with ears that don't go straight up? For me the Begins ears, and basically the whole cowl beat anything I've ever seen in the comics

To each its own really I actually like short ears on the comicbooks but not on film. I think the ones in the begins cowl were perfect in terms of length. Not too long not too short.

You have never see the short ears on film before. Sure the 1960's movie, but on the West cowl, the ears started near the ear and barely poked over the top of the head. On this cowl it easily clears the top of the head. I love the shorter ears and from what Im hearing the costume is going to be alot less bulkier this go around. Im going to love the entire look I think.

For what's it's worth, I was a security guard last year for a traveling exhibit of priceless Biblical artifacts, and the handler's stored them in plastic tubs with paper packed around them. We're talking about stuff that was worth hundreds of thousands of dollars apiece.

That said, those look a hell of a lot like the BATMAN BEGINS Rubies cowls, right down to the flexible nature and slightly different eyehole and mouth design. I've owned several, and the ears on a Rubies cowl are shorter and "fatter" than the actual movie cowl's ears were. The ears on the cowl are made shorter because the rubber is not thick, and the costume cowl's ears often do not stand up well beyond a certain length.

And while Rubies generally produces a velcro-attached cowl, I believe that there was a version made with a small split-seam later in production of the design.

*bangs head against wall*
How do you know that when you haven't seen them in action yet?

Well Iam not judging it just yet. I just don't like the idea. I though the begins ones were about perfect. I think the ears is one of the things that do not need change.

Oh of the rest of the suit, if its lighter, thinner, sleeker i know I'll love it. But the ears i don't know yet.

I´m digging it from what I can see

Just remember I was the first to tell you it was fake. When I was in in the city during filming in 2004, they kept these suits locked away in a trailer. They were constantly being cleaned and groomed. And all the costumes, props, and equipment were all shipped in brown boxes from Los Angeles. Not in rubber tubs that have the labels on them from the local Target or Wal-mart. Also, as I already said, if the damn Clown Gang masks were on manequin plastic heads to retain shape and quality ... they wouldn't just pack the Batman cowl in plastic and paper. But as I already said, those are clearly the Rubie Bat Begins cowl. As if someone outside of production would be walking in wherever this pic was taken, and allowed to just snap a shot at point blank range ... when everyone else knows the person isn't apart of the production team. And is that carpet I see? Where in Chicago would these masks be stored where there is carpet?

The man has 9999 spares, I see him keeping the same cowl. If they do change it much I'll be miffed, it's a character in itself now.

it's LEGIT. Just take a close look at the other BOF picture of the National Guard uniforms:

note the red-lined plastic storage bin with. obviously that's not the same exact one the cowls are in, since the floor is different, but it's conceivable that there are more than one red storage bin

Therefore, these are THE TDK cowls

I'm calling bull****
First off, what's with the angle of the pic?
Second, I see no different in ear lengths that everyone is talking about.
Third, that's no how you store masks that you want to keep the shape of. As someone else here said with the clown masks, you store them on the mannequin head things so that they don't damage.
And fourth, why would they store top secret stuff in clear boxes?
The masks Joker and his gang wore for the bank robbery were in clear boxes in the spy pics from April.

Jett wouldn't put his name on there unless he was sure it was real.
