Bombshell- The Fox News Movie

Definitely still sounds like Charlize, although she has physically transformed into Megyn completely. Couldn't she do something more with her voice? I think it's too deep for starters. Otherwise it makes it look like someone dubbed Megyn's voice. I think with Charlize's voice but such a close Megyn look, there is more of a disconnect than if she didn't look that much like her.

Also, Kate McKinnon still looks like she's doing an SNL sketch.

I agree, she should've tried something with her voice.

I love McKinnon on SNL but she was awful in Yesterday. I have little hope for her here unless she's toned down.

Meh, the trailer doesn't convince me that this isn't just going to be a movie about weaponizing the tears of privileged white women.

Yeah, I agree with you there. Roger Ailes is a POS and no woman deserved to be sexually harassed, but Fox News pushes a dangerous narrative that hurts a lot of people. Megyn Kelly in particular has been openly racist a number of times, hence why she ended up getting fired at NBC and is now (apparently) trying to endear herself to Tucker Carlson's white supremacist crowd. I have a problem with people trying to make a hero out of her.

You can have a lead who is wronged but isn’t necessarily the “hero”. See many Martin Scorsese films.

She's auditioning for Sheppard Smith's old show.

For sure, I just worry that they’ll be too sympathetic toward her overall and just ignore all the racist, xenophobic **** she pushes (which clearly wasn’t all Fox, given the circumstances that led to her NBC ouster).

Yeah they better get some kinda make-up award.
