Boondock II: All Saints Day..hell yes!

I don't get all the hate. IMO, it looks awesome and from the looks of the trailer it seems to be quite in line with the tone and cinematography of the first one.

Boon Docks didnt need a sequel.
Hollywood sucks. Its just gonna be more of the same, like Crank or Saw.

If they had a incredible story and ALL the main characters returning (Willem Dafoe)
then maybe Id buy into it. But so far its just looking like an echo of the first movie without the moving story line.

I don't see it that way, personally. The story sounds good to me with basically an anti-Saint character rivaling the McMannus boys and the mafia son getting revenge for his father.

Also, I don't care that Dafoe isn't in it. You don't always need every main character from the previous movie to make a sequel work. Look at Crank 2. As much as I love Crank 2, there was absolutely no need to bring back every single character from the first movie, and it hurt the overall film if you ask me.

Didn't you get the memo? Hate is the cool thing to do to upcoming genre movies. Just like the hoser above who thought Crank 2 sucked. Missed the point completely of that franchise.

i didnt watch the trailer because i thought it would look extremely cheap and waay worse.

i finally decided to see it.. and i actually think it looks pretty entertaining. As a sequel to the first it looks terrible, but as its own film it looks pretty good.

Looks like a good sequel after 10 years. The actors look a bit older, but I just want to see the same personalities out of the guys.

While I will see this, the cinematography looks like a downgrade from the first one, which was spectacular. Just something about the lighting and angles looks off, reminds me of Punisher: Warzone

From it's trailer Warzone looked like a B&R film while high.

I does look and remind me of Warzone and that doesn't offend me at all :D

This isn't being made because some faceless studio exec said "hey! this little movie made some cash! lets make it again!"

Troy Duffy the writer/director has FOUGHT for TEN YEARS to get those studio execs to say "okay".

So, i cant believe i'm saying this, but in this instance, dont hate hollywood, hate the director.

but i'm looking forward to the movie :)

This actually looks better than what I expected. It's almost surreal to see these characters again. Pretty good for something I never thought would see the light of day. I saw Clifton Collins in Sunshine Cleaning and I think he'll give a good performance.

Rocco was in the trailer

That shouldn't be hard, because apparently Troy Duffy is a huge prick.

Granted, I think sequels can work without all characters. Matrix Reloaded worked out fine with out Marcus Chong's character. Even though tank was a cool character.
But Paul Smecker was a HUGE part of the first movie. And they replace him with a "protege?" I dont want to judge before I see it, but that's the kind of thing I am referring to with Crank and Saw. They just keep regurgitating old variables from the first story. Im not a fan of unnecessary repetition. Smecker was a vital character and it only makes sense for his story to continue. He could have been killed half way through the sequel, anything, but to not have him in is a waist of awesome character development from the first movie.

At least they did not replace one of the brothers. That would have really pissed me off.

No way I can hate on that guy. BDS was brilliant. But from what I understand he acted like a total ass and became his own worst enemy. So it probably is his fault that Dafoe didnt return.

Not sure what to think yet... can't tell if it's going to be good or not. Premise seems interesting enough. Hope it's good.

i reserve some hope that this will be at least enjoyable, but i think its been too long and its somewhat the wrong direction. proteges and whatnot

I think this is just a horrible idea.

which means it will be part of a trilogy.

Where are you guys getting Boondocks 3 out of this.
