That's really interesting to know. Jeez! This sucks that Morris hasn't had the same kind of recoginition that Steve Coogan and Sasha Baron Cohen have both enjoyed of late, expecially since you say he was instrumental in helping them in their careers.

He is to "naughty", basically he satired the media and the cult of celebrity to such an extent they grew to hate him in the U.K and the media never forgets.

While I was travelling around Europe, I got the opportunity to watch some German tv. Germans love reality shows. So much so, that there are alot of staged reality shows. These shows are so completely obvious, the people in them CLEARLY actors.

It's very, very obvious when people try to fake reality.

My new roomate this year (one of) is from California, right around where MTV films Laguna Beach and several episodes of NEXT>. He said several of his friends have gone on these reality/dating shows and essentially they tell you everything you're going to say and pretty much script and pre-plan the entire show.

His friend went on Room Raiders I think, and he said all their comments watching the video were scripted.

Wow! And here I am thinking the UK denizens have a more liberal minded view of things especially when it comes to satire. I'm deeply saddened to hear that Britain seems to be losing it's great sense of humour.

Won't be long now before the Christian Fundamemtalists have a complete strangle hold over eveything the media produces in the UK.

Might as well rename the country the 51st State when that happens.

You know if this article is factually accurate I feel genuinely sorry for these people, and I agree that they've been abused. I mean I don't feel any sympathy whatsoever for those idiot fratboys (then again who ever feels sympathy for fratboys) but this is... gives me a bad taste in the mouth for having laughed at those scenes from the village...

For me this just makes the whole thing even more funny.
